I can put on a French accent and ask him how we can repay him for what we have done.

Or we can say get ads on your site 'cause you'll be rolling in the dough.

Bungie clearly needs to hire an on-site florist to send out apology bouquets for all the people we will inevitably terrorize in our quest for knowledge.
Best idea I've seen in this forum in 3 years. At least.

I hereby volunteer myself as Bungie's chief apology florist! For my payment, I shall accept a pretty pink bar and a small allotment in which to grow flowers and strawberries :P
I'm sure there's plenty of room for a Greenhouse on the roof of the Bellevue Galleria.

So who wants to let the rest of the forums know that Destiny.com isn't a Bungie website and that we can stop trying to access it?

Not it.

It would be a tricky thing and would need to be carefully worded. Incorrectly phrased it could encourage more people to attempt to hit the site (which we wouldn't want to encourage) and should, IMO, probably come from someone with gold text and the ability/authority to make such a warning/PSA properly official.
I agree.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Were sorry

2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

I say the t-shirt, but we should send one to the dude who got like 80 billion phone calls from us on Bungie day.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

I would pay to see you walk into Bungie's lobby, hand Jerome a big Bouquet of Roses and say "I'm ready to start my first day on the job as Bungie's Chief Florist!"

I think it is awesome so many people care about Destiny and even /v/ wants to crack the code to the website.

One of the things Bungie has always managed to pull off just right, is the mystery. I think that's what was lacking for me in halo 4. I mean halo 4 had mystery, they just didn't pull it off the way Bungie can.

Not trying to turn this into a halo 4 thread!

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Let's re-gift something. Maybe send him Spartan Ken? It is the time of year for fruit cake, of course.

I am never late,Nor am I early; I arrive precisely when I mean to.
Also
"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick -Potatoes!-... and I'm all out of bubblegum."

Check out this Thread on how to help new members here on Bungie.net

I think this is actually a good idea, because we don't know what might have happened from people trying to long in. So a card with an apology and a welcome to the community on it with a shirt or something might be good.

Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

That was awfully easy to find. I'm surprised no one has done this earlier...
We did. IMMEDIATELY. If you check the megathread and some of the locked threads from yesterday, you will see that almost the instant somebody even mentioned "destiny.com," multiple people, including me, stated that the whois.com information showed the site to be completely unrelated.

But Bungie fans can be frenetic and... well... overzealous. I suppose that as soon as people saw that the site was password protected, trying to use logic and easily verifiable facts to prove that it was unconnected to this title was like throwing a cup of water on a forest fire.

um....I feel bad because I was the one who mention Destiny.com in the threads on the Flood and on here. ooops. The question remains, how do we contact this guy?

Oh oh oh oh! I have an idea.

How about offering the admin of that site a custom title (Survived Bombing), avatar and blue bar?
Blue Bar?! That's a little too far lol.
1 trust point for every failed login attempt to that person's site.
He'd be an admin by that point.

Tis' the season. Submit webcam videos of your lovely faces to me singing a few carols wearing Santa hats and I shall compile them into a virtual choir and post it on YouTube. Then, we send them our carols and love with food. What? It's been done before.

I vote DeeJ to dress up and sing this.
