He's right on top of us! I wonder if he is using the same wind we are using...

The icon for the site is a heart, I feel like bungie would have made it the destiny logo if it were related...

Its more than likely a dating site in development

CONFRIMED

Bungie's next IP is a matchmaking / dating game and website called Destiny.

I think it is short for the 4chan gaming forum?

What about destiny.com, has anyone tried it yet?
That's not Bungie's website. There's apparently a way of looking up who owns a particular website, and it's some random dude's domain. It isn't stopping a majority of /v/ from trying to hack into it though.

lol, also what is this /v/ that people keep on talking about?

/v/ is an image board on 4chan for the topic of video games

Web hosting sites have a whois search so you can search a site and see the info on the person who owns it. Probably in place if people want to make an offer to buy the site.

Here is the whois search for destiny.com

I doubt that would happen, Bungie.net is Bungie's home where they store all of their games.
too bad they don't own the destiny IP

According to their contract with Activision, they do.
Activision's

trust me no one would want to publish a game this big without owning the ip

Bungie owns the IP. You don't know what you're talking about.

Notice the article you linked is inconsistent. It says that it's Activision's IP in the headline but that it's Bungie's IP in the body text.

Halo had it's own site. It's an ad for the game

  • user homepage:

t3hAvenger77 - XBL (BF3, ME3, Blops)
decla1mer104 - Origin (BF3)
Steam

All previous Bungie games feature substantial integration with Bungie.net.

I doubt they will have a dedicated site for Destiny.

A simple life.

What will happen is they will have Destiny, etc redirect to Bungie.net.

This

Hi! How you doin'?

Sometimes, all you need are a couple giant explosions to get you through the day.

Why would they want to waste the time and money maintaining another site, when they could just host it here?

No separation, it's not their style.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Bungie has never made a separate site for their games, I doubt they'll start now.

Webteam, hurry up with those sarcasm tags :P

Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar.
tenn' Ambar-metta!

I don't think so, Bungie did the same with Halo 3 and Halo: Reach, they had their separate websites but the forums remained here.

I say not to worry, remember this is all speculation, we have nothing solid yet.

The world is quiet here. -L.S.

See you starside.

I imagine that any Destiny forums, stats, and such will be on Bungie.net. What I'm really interested to see is how the game will be integrated with the new hawtness. I'm curious as to what the forum setup will be and what our profile pages will look like.

  • 11.30.2012 7:33 AM PDT

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

I hope not, wouldn't it be kind of redundant for the Web Team to do so much hard work on the New Hawtness just for them to have a completely new website for their new game?

The New Hawtness could be the new website and they would transfer everything over but I would just rather them keep it bungie.net instead of chaning to Destiny.com.

  • 11.30.2012 7:35 AM PDT

Progo, Shrew, Chryso, all are the same.

Bungie.next will soon emerge from it's pupa, spread it's wings, and show us our Destiny.
One site.
More awesome.

I'm all for staying here, right where we belong.

  • 11.30.2012 9:10 AM PDT

It doesn't seem like they would be separated. Bungie.next will likely integrate Destiny stats and stuff on the site.

not to mention the source it was a poor title from a web-news outlet i've never seen until today.

As for the argument I'm sure there will be a website for the game but all will be accessible here. If the universe is as extreme as it sounds to be then perhaps it will be integrated into gameplay somehow. too early to tell. still.

Half Man.
Half Horse.
Half Machine.
All "Jerk Who's Really Bad at Math."

PS
No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

Seems like it'd be a waste of resources to maintain a separate site for Destiny when they could instead just add all the functionality/stats for it here on B.net, the same as Halo had.
