That's not what the article said. It said that eating meat and cooking our food led to larger brains, not that being a vegetarian leads to smaller brains.

More shrinkage
It actually just says that if you lack nutrients, such as vitamin b12 that occurs. Just because stupid vegetarians tend to not get correct nutrients, does not mean that being a vegetarian causes brain shrinkage.
It's saying that getting b12 from a natural diet that would be considered vegan/vegetarian is super tough. Therefore, most vegans/vegetarians are lacking in b12, which is linked to shrinkage.
If your "diet" requires you to take pills of b12 in order to keep up in nutrition, then that is a failed diet.
There are several pretty easy ways to get vitamin b12 as a vegetarian or vegan.
Sidenote: In your opinion what is the point of taking vitamins, other than keeping up in nutrition?
