Let's beat the dead horse some more shall we?

*beats shapeless bloody pulp*
PEOPLE CARE ABOUT THE BEATEN DEAD HORSE... OKAY?!?!?!!

Am I the only one here who wants to well season that dead horse and grill it?
Meat is best when it's not been beaten.

Humans are omnivores. We are designed by nature to eat both meat and vegetables. Denying one or the other means you are denying what your body needs.

Period, end of story, the end.

Not really, the human body can adapt to a variety of diets...

I see you're one of the ones not getting enough B12.

True, but there are more all meat diets or diets heavily based on meat than there are veggies and fruit.

In survival, it's hard to live without meat as a food source.

Recon Number 54 -
If they are still looking, then while holding the snarl, I let drool start to drip from my mouth, I stand, curl my fingers into claws and with a hunched over crouch, I then make slow and deliberate steps towards them. When I get close enough, I let them hear my agonized and gasping growls and then, if they continue to stare, when I get within arm's reach? I kiss them on the nose, and run away giggling.

A vegetarian diet costs less biomass to produce as you don't need to feed a carrot 10 Potatoes to make it edible. This is the point that he was trying to make.

Diets are nearly always lacking in something or the other, despite the dieticians preaching on about how you need x of this and x of that to live a wholesome existence. You might but does it really matter that much?

If you get an adequate amount of nutrients in a varied diet you will be fine.

If vegetarians all completely ignored proteins then they would get kwasiorkor. Same as if you only ate meat you would get ill from scurvy.

You don't need to eat meat as there are different sources of protein in the world, meat is just a concentrated source of Proteins that can be digested into the main amino acids that humans cannot synthesize.

So does it truly matter what someone else eats?

Maybe they used a tenderizer duh.

Your point was very reasonable. Of course it will be hard to eliminate meat production; especially when people are unwillingly to change. But what are the alternatives?

Well, at least you've found a way to feel superior and that's all that matters! :)

Nutrient deficiency.

Don't LOL if you aren't L'inOL.

Halo: Reach
Halo 3
Halo ODST

It's a shame some people's experiences with veggies have only been with the snobby ones. I see a lot of vegetarian hate on the Internet.

Most veggies don't give a crap if you eat meat.

That's not what the article said. It said that eating meat and cooking our food led to larger brains, not that being a vegetarian leads to smaller brains.

Sorry, forgot the secondary article.

More shrinkage

It actually just says that if you lack nutrients, such as vitamin b12 that occurs. Just because stupid vegetarians tend to not get correct nutrients, does not mean that being a vegetarian causes brain shrinkage.

It's saying that getting b12 from a natural diet that would be considered vegan/vegetarian is super tough. Therefore, most vegans/vegetarians are lacking in b12, which is linked to shrinkage.

If your "diet" requires you to take pills of b12 in order to keep up in nutrition, then that is a failed diet.

There are several pretty easy ways to get vitamin b12 as a vegetarian or vegan.

Sidenote: In your opinion what is the point of taking vitamins, other than keeping up in nutrition?

I can tell a lot of people in this thread don't share my views and/or think my logic is flawed.

Without The Flood, I wouldn't know what an opinion is.

It is clear that the only reasonable way for me to respond to this article is to immediately find all of my vegetarian/vegan friends (as well any any I meet for the next few days) and link them to this article while flaunting my meat-eating superiority.
After all, what's the point in being so great if you're not going to be a dick about it?

  • 11.28.2012 2:30 PM PDT

iPhone 4S 64GB Black.

Meat is disgusting, and I think it's disgusting how much meat humans eat.

To overpopulation, for example, one solution is providing access to contraceptives in developing nations with high birth rates. There are plenty of other alternatives to the problems you named that don't involve ending human meat production and consumption.

But none of them particularly easy, much like your proposal, which I'm glad you realize isn't as simple as "ban meat" or something similarly naive. :-)

what we need to do is start eating our kids if they are sick, like a hamster. Also i eat meat alot and im just fine and vegetarians are liberals and not eating meat is why they are dumb. I dont recognize i sound like an idiot either people have to tell me but most of the time they are vegetarians and they dumb so who cares.

I see you making generalizations. I eat meat now, grew up vegetarian. Dairy has more than enough B12.

Lol exactly. I work in a meat dept. as an assistant and I am a vegetarian. I couldn't care less what others eat.

What? The article is about cooking food? You crazay!

  • 11.28.2012 2:40 PM PDT

I will admit overpopulation was a bad example. However, there are many issues stemming from meat production. A large one being the environmental impact; this alone should change a persons views on the production of meat.
