What do you expect? You clearly don't understand what you're talking about, and making fun of dumb people is always a good time.

So if I had a bad of marbles, with 99 blue ones, and 1 red one, there is a 50/50 chance of me pulling out the red one?

Your logic is horrid.

If Fed Ex and UPS merged into one company, would it be called Fed Up?

I don't want to start another account for a digital number that has no true value in ten years.

yes or no is of course 50/50 but that does not mean those are the true odds being asked. Your changing the questions into those when they really aren't. Even flipping a coin isn't truly 50/50 due to the indentions.

If someone put a gun directly to my head (keyword: directly) and pulled the trigger, is there a 50/50 chance the bullet will/will not go through my skull and kill me?

Didn't think so.

What about a dice? BOOM.

there is a 50/50 chance that it will land on a specific side.

IE

50/50 chance of rolling a 1
( you will roll a 1 or you will not )

50/50 chance of rolling a 2
( you will roll a 2 or you will not )

50/50 chance of rolling a 3
( you will roll a 3 or you will not )

50/50 chance of rolling a 4
( you will roll a 4 or you will not )

50/50 chance of rolling a 5
( you will roll a 5 or you will not )

50/50 chance of rolling a 6
( you will roll a 6 or you will not )

You should tell this to your teacher while he's teaching your class. I'm sure he can debate you better than I ever could.

HERE'S THE THING

Something either happens, or it doesnt!

If there's 99 blue marbles and a red marble, the chances of me taking the red one is 50/50.

Why? I either take it...or I don't. I don't get how my logic is wrong, (I assume it is now because you're all hating on me) and none of you guys are explaining it.

I've told you before the 50/50 thing is possibility. Which you are confusing with probability which is the desired outcome over the total number of possible outcomes. In the above there is a 1/100 chance of drawing a red marble because there are 100 marbles total but only 1 will give the desired outcome, the drawing of a red marble.

Let me throw a curveball in there. Everything is 100% or 0%. We base chance on what we know, because it is nearly impossible to take every factor into account we make do with the most obvious/measurable ones and make a number of predictions from that.

Everything that happens is based on scientific laws. If I let go of a ball, it will fall to the ground because of the law of gravity, unless you ofcourse you add another factor like wind, but wind and aerodynamics can be measured too so again it can be determined with 100% accuracy, unless ofcourse more factors come into play, factors which are subtle and too difficult or time consuming to accurately measure or predict, you start creating a number of outcomes because you dont have every piece to the puzzle.

When it gets particularly tricky is when people are involved. But the brain is just a series of chemical reactions, which again are based on laws - the brain is just too vast and complicted to accurately predict, we are still capable of predicting thoughts on a minor level though, thats how we get people to do our bidding! And why some trolls are better than others (ahem).
So basically, if you managed to take the many many factors that create an event, you could predict with 100% certainty what the outcome is.
This also implies there is no such thing as choice or free will....hmmmm
I would love to discuss this but Im using IE for xbox so it takes about an hour to type a sentence.

50/50 chance of rolling a 1
( you will roll a 1 or you will not )

50/50 chance of rolling a 2
( you will roll a 2 or you will not )

50/50 chance of rolling a 3
( you will roll a 3 or you will not )

50/50 chance of rolling a 4

50/50 chance of rolling a 5

50/50 chance of rolling a 6
( you will roll a 6 or you will not )

Come on, even a 7 year old could tell you the chances of rolling any number on a die is 1/6.

Nobody could believe you're dumb enough to think that you have a 50% chance to hit any number on a 6 sided die.

You'd be too dumb to figure out how to post in a forum, so you're just trolling. How sad.

Are you trying to tell me that if I flip a coin, then there is a 50% chance it will land on heads because it will either happen or it won't?

I call shenanigans.
