Water containing 20% salt by weight has a density of about 1.15 g/cc. Pure water has a density close to 1.00 g/cc.
Water's molecular mass is about 18.0 daltons. That of salt (NaCl) is about 58.5 daltons.
Estimate the density of a 20% salt solution if the NaCl remains undissociated.
Assume that each NaCl entity supplants one water molecule in the solution.

________________ g/cc

how do this?

also,

Based on the results above, estimate the amount of dissociation of NaCl in water.
a undissociated
b somewhat dissociated
c mostly or totally dissociated

I'm glad you cared to look at this box with letters. Lets hang out sometime! :D

THIS is what I'm going to learn next year in AP Physics?

Honestly OP, I don't know. But there's a group for homework help.

I gaze upon the stars and see the majesty that is the universe.

EGO mos bulla astrum.

What the hell kind of AP Physics class is being run at your school? Physics deals with kinetics and motion. Not chemicals. Otherwise I wouldn't be taking an AP Physics B course.

I am doing a buoyancy lab. I'm in the fluid and thermal mechanics chapter.

I'm not doing chemistry

What is green text?
Something you can do on 4chan.

OT: This is a stupid question because NaCl will never NOT dissociate in water. Given that, I can tell you the answer to the second part is c. However, I'm a little confused about the first part. I could probably figure it out if I took some time to look at it, but I don't want to do that. Sorry.
