Happily married to Fatal_Coin_Vest since July 1st, 2009.

Thank you, Captain K Mart.

I'm looking to get a gaming headset for my 360. It needs to be wireless, and carry game, chat, and third source of audio.

That's the easy part to find. What I'm wondering is, is it worth it to get a pair that's 5.1 or 7.1 channels?

None of the websites I visit give you a clear answer. It's so confusing I'm getting irritated. So your input is very appreciated, thanks.

Standard wireless 360 headset

Before you laugh, keep in mind that it does the job pretty well(it's a mic, not a 'sound catcher', lasts a while, and doesn't cost 100+ dollars.

Welcome, welcome to city 17...

I have a pair of turtle beach x41's and i love 'em, 5.1 surround sound, wireless, the works. only down side is that they burn through batteries. I'd still highly recommend them (or the current modle of them) to anyone looking for a good headset

Most people start out with TB so take a look here.

I myself use tritton ax720. Pretty decent just kinda pricey.

Unless you get a mixamp, being 5.1 or 7.1 won't matter because it's just stereo labeled as being "surround sound."

Most 5.1 and 7.1 have one with the headset can't think of one without it except a40s if you by them withouth the Mixamp.
