Oh Yes!

Multiplayer is terrible. 343 is bad.

Halo is heading in the wrong direction.

True, I feel the same. People complain that I was making assumptions before the game was released, but you've played Halo that long, you know what is good and what not.

So this is what I stated and keep stating: Halo 4 is good in campaign, but sucks for multiplayer.

I put up with Reach and felt a deep regret later.
I'm not putting up with Halo 4 and all of its BS.

The thing that kills it for me are the current playlists. You either play the dice-rolling Infinity playlists, Infection, a sub-par Free For All that punishes you for doing good by putting a red marker over your head, or the mess that the whole Dominion concept is. Seriously Dominion grants 6 power weapons in the map every 45 seconds.

Either that or you go to SWAT or the barebones Slayer Pro. If I wanted to play this game like CoD, I would, and I've actually popped in Black Ops more than once after realising I wasn't having fun with Halo 4 anymore.

I got bored of it within 3 weeks, hell I'm starting to like the vanilla Reach more than vanilla H4.

You got very annoying pre-launch about bashing the game.

But I agree with you.

Halo 4 is a game of luck not skill.
This, I bet most of it could be fixed with just fixed weapon spawns and non-random infinity drops. Maybe more playlists with preset loadouts again, it all seems so...unpredictable.
even if this was te case personal ordnance in itself breaks away from te traditional skillful play. It becomes a dice roll and if I get a binary rifle and you a needler, it's real easy to see what I mean. There just is no more competition left anymore. This series brought my to xbl and it turned me away from halo after this one sadly.
Yeah, thats why I stayed well away from Infinity Slayer. One thing I think that would make that bearable is properly tiered rewards. Make everyone's ordance the same choices, the first one being very minor, second slightly better etc.

Sure there's still that no-incentive to move thing, but for a casual mode it'd make it bearable. Same goes with Dominion, bases sometimes get rockets, or just BRs and frags.

I don't even really care, honestly. Reach proved that Halo was moving in an entirely different direction, so Halo 4 actually seemed like an improvement, despite its failure, compared to Halo 3 (and previous Halos).
reach stayed true to competetive halo. Halo 4 is entirely different. You could be amazing at reach and three because of skill. Halo 4 no such quality exists.

Reach had no competition, whatsoever. Bloom, armor abilities, sprinting, elongated maps (resulting from the added sprinting), and removal of TS Ranking made the game play equally as bad as Halo 4. At least 4 has some good graphics and a decent campaign.

+1 for you good sir.

You're complaining about PV? Lol.

It's obvious 343 wanted to add Kill Streaks, so the reason why they didn't add an option to choose the ones you like is beyond me.

No one should be getting an Incineration Cannon with less than 15 kills in my opinion.

it had 10 seasons of Arena. Some elements were bad like you at but all in all from a high level of play it was more competetive than halo 4. Personal or dances make the game literally about luck. Halo reach was more of a team strategy game, more important to be a team player. Once zb released for Mlg it became very competetive and strategic.

Yes, Halo 4 is a cluster-blam!-. Bungie should have cloned themselves and kept making Halo games.

Exactly and I may roll two needlers and you could roll a binary next one. It just literally makes this games skill gap pretty low.

Don't trip chocolate chip!
Bronies rustle my jimmies...

Thanks for 10 great years of halo Bungie, you will be missed.

Seems like a "Love it or Hate it relation" I personally love it and am very addicted to it. I've played all of the previous Halo games and nothing has gotten me to feel this way about Halo since Halo 3.

Shinny graphics =/= Good graphics

I can't see people shooting me from across the map in Halo 4, whereas I could in Reach. 343 sacrificed the ability to identify players at long distances for shinny/flashy backgrounds and settings.

Really? I was really enjoying it at first but now the multiplayer has turned me off a lot. Thinking of going back to reach actually.

Even with my Asus lower settings it is still terrible. My eyes. I almost have to get a 40 inch to play the game.

That Promethean vision is a real bother, I agree. That's the only thing I can agree with you, OP.

Dude, thanks for the thread. Finally somebody agrees with me. My friends said i was just going on and complaining about these faults. I did the same with Reach. I'm not that good at Halo, but i can still see many faults in both Reach and 4.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Wait... Why did you list sprinting as something as if it isn't a armor ability?

Oh yeah about the campaign part. Played a few times and already bored. Where is my campaign scoring? Where are those fun maps?
