Extraterrestrial bio-mechanical beings have been influencing our cultures for millennia.

To lift a giant stone? It's hard enough lifting smaller stones with a crane.
OP, in 1969, Neil and Buzz touched down on the moon in a lander that had a computer less powerful than a modern $5 pocket calculator guiding the descent.

If humanity is driven, resourceful and intelligent enough to pull that off, than I think our ancestors were perfectly capable of sanding down big rocks and stacking them together without the help of alien technology.

Not really. Your mom is over quite enough to make my fears mute.

Because it's -blam!- retarded.

Moon crabs?

No, extraterrestrial bio-mechanical beings that can alternate between their standard humanoid form and a faster "vehicular" form. Code named "Alternators".

They employ all the classic logical fallacies in place of evidence, and rely on superstition and mythology to make their "factual" case. They use a lack of evidence to the contrary as proof of their own argument.
So basically its the same as religion? I hate to be dangerously close to breaking the rules but if religion isn't widely considered ridiculous I don't see why this should be.

One only needs to objectively assess the proponents of Ancient Alien Theory to understand why no one takes it seriously. To put it simply, the people who believe and investigate the theory sound like whackjobs. This undermines their credibility and renders any evidence they present null and void in the eyes of the academic community. Personally I view it as a good source of creative fuel for historical science fiction.

So, "Because everyone else does it, it must be right".

I'm gonna finish it. Just like Jigga did to the pyramid.

Especially the pyramids. I don't think slaves can lift all that, even if they all lift.

or use those rolley thingies to transport the pyramid piece by piece.

Sir, if you have intelligence on these beings, I suggest you tell me now.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. They fail that test in every regard. Psuedo-scientific babble on par with the Young Earthers.

Also this. I couldn't have put it better myself.

Late to the party boys and girls but I'm here. AA Theory? I take it seriously. Who wouldn't? There was a video recently that debunked the AA theory in a sense. Not the theory itself, but quite a bit of things the show used to suggest that the AA theory was possible. Things like the stones of Pumu Punku actually being made from sandstone instead of granite. The person debunking them is a fellow AA believer as well so he's not hating, just clearing the air of misinformation. So despite learning that I still look at it the same.

it sounds ridiculous, therefore it is.

i am open to the concept but i am yet to be sufficiently convinced. there are other explanations, OP.

Yes Costco. I need a 50lb bag...I mean sack of sugar.

Because I don't care. How arrogant as a species can we get that we think our ancestors couldn't be capable of amazing things.

well no, they aren't saying that.
they're finding evidence that shows what they want to show.
some painting has a UFO in a corner and that proves that aliens were around in that time and in contact with humans (why else would someone paint one) that proves whatever it is they were supposed to be doing at that time, with the evidence that humans couldn't physically have done it themselves for one reason or another.

they do have reasons, it isn't all blind assumptions.

i'm not saying they're right though; don't think fr a minute i'm saying that.

There have been humans on earth for like 30,000 years. Look at what our current humans accomplished in around 3000. There were other human species but they died off. Those flying machines spoken of by ancients could have very well been real. Compare the technology of NASA or US Military to the random indigenous people still living in huts or some areas of the Middle East. There's a leap of progress.

What I'm getting at is that it's entirely possible for there to have been an advanced civilization that surpassed all the others in knowledge. Atlantis a myth? There was an old scroll that was given to a king from the King of Atlantis. Forget who but that only shows that Atlantis did exist and is now likely under an ocean due to pole shifts long ago.

The Snow Leopard's wisdom includes: Understanding one's shadow-side; trusting one's inner-self; agility; strength; the ability to stalk; understanding the power of silence.

I take it more seriously than most religions, if that means anything.

Humans have been here for a lot longer than 30,000 years, which makes us quite amazing.
