Subject: Competitiveness vs. Fun

I don't really think that they're much different, it just depends on how YOU like to play.

i can take halo 3 or whatever, and play really competitively, and then take a break and have fun by messing with the rules or whatever, but at a base level the game is competitive.

on the other hand, mario party is not really a game that is at its core competitive because its totally random and you can win every mini game and still lose. i can play it like a competition, but its not the same at all.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

They aren't mutually exclusive

Read the OP.

You too, down there.

Your OP and poll doesn't make any sense.

Let me break it down for you:

Competitiveness: You prefer a game that is competitive at its core. It games of that nature you enjoy the most and have the most fun with.

Fun: You don't need competitiveness to enjoy a game (A reminder; I'm just talking about multiplayer). You make your own fun within the game.

lol you put fun in the competitive category

Shouldn't everyone vote for fun, then?

I think playing to get better and fight good competition is fun.

Some games can be both. It really depends on the mood I'm in. Sometimes I just want to completely destroy people online. Other times my friends and I will just screw around and have a lot of fun together.

Most of the time, I just wanna enjoy myself. But I do admit, I sometimes wish for competition.

A competitive game can be casual.

A casual game cannot be competitive.
Anything can be competetive.
