Before I write anymore I do agree that they overcharge and so forth but this thread is not about that it's more of the experience
So I thought I would write about it since I'm bored and if anyone was ever considering working there it's a not bad place to work
Things I dislike about the job
1.Geek squad should not have to do returns for some reason they combined Geek Squad and customer service desk into one so now we have to do returns and so forth.
2.The system called star that we use to track the computers when they come in and so forth is so blogged down and slow it take 5-10 minutes to load the program but the program that we use to check in computers is actually pretty easy to use
3.If your computer is a hardware issue then we will have to send it off to Geek Squad City to get it repaired including stupid stuff like replacing fans and so forth so the client has no computer for 5-6 weeks
The Good
1.At least at are precinct the fellow agents actually know something and are quite fun to work with
2.Your always busy there is never a dull moment
3.Allot of training to work at geek squad you first have to complete around 12-20 hours of training of E-learnings and you learn allot I have been working on computers for a while now and I am still learning stuff
but if you are cosidering it is fun
