We've been here since you left.
We left before you came.

In Halo 2, all you saw was their cars? I think in Halo 3 Bungie should put civilians in the game running away from the Covenant/Flood while we are defending the rest of the world . It would be fun to actially kill civilians.

Well it looks like they tried to evacuate the city via the bridge, but seeing how many cars their were, you see how well that turned out.

There really weren't that many cars... i mean, there were more cars driving from montreal to my house at 12 at night, i think that the streets shouldve been literally covered and you had to jump over trucks and cars instead of dodging them with your tank... i mean come on its panic and mayhem, but its not as blocked up as the morning traffic.

Or you could have some surving ones walking around the street and they come up to you and ask for food or something.

How would they survive that explosion, it obliterated everything.

And seriously don't make civilians go up to you and ask for food, that would just depress me. And I wouldn't fight as viciously.

Or they could act like the civilians in GTA and not react at all if they see a bazooka pointed at there face.

lol.

Im guessing that they were mostly evacuated/hiding. If they did come in, i think the best way would be like weaker marines, just a little militia, forming a guerilla unit, considereing that the trailer points to a fairly beat earth.

Well maybe in Halo 3 there will be a new populated place instead of just cars. It would of been cool to drive the little red Volvo cars.

Read about my gaming here.

I'd say they were evacuated, or hiding, I bet that they knew that the covenant eventually would make it to earth so maybe they built some well hidden bunkers here and there for them to hide in

No but seriosly its the future so a hobo could have a super titanium A reenfroced cardboard box (with a bar fridge). Or some humans could have been in bomb shelters at the time. Or peeple could have gone on a year long plane trip from another human inhabited planet and they get there and its all burnt and they are like "AHHHHHHHHH" as an elite chases them and the elite yells "damn turists". Then only a few survive so they go ask mc for food.

Tha would make a great Eastr Egg/ Mini Game but lets face it. NOt in campaighn or multiplayer. Thats would suck. I do beleive most of earth are dead anyway. Civillians would jyst be a pain. UNless you do one of those save the Cvillians were you cant let them die like you did with Keyes in Halo 1. But that would suck even more because lets face it I think MC woul be too busy destroying the flood and saving the Galaxy.

Yes, this is another point where I think Bungie dropped the ball. There's no way they could have evacuated an entire metropolis in the time it took the Prophet Regret to break through the defense line. It would take hours to empty a city, not mere minutes.

Advent Rising had fleeing civilians, civilians being slaughtered and it was very effective at evoking an emotional response. I found myself angered, and strangely driven to deliver some payback.

In contrast, Halo 2 was more laid back. All you had to do was get from point A to Point B in Mombasa. That sense of urgency, that emotional turmoil, wasn't there.

You mean, that, you want us to see civilians getting slaughtered, that would garuntee me making sure I make those stupid Covy die a slow, horrible death.

if anyones ever read the book "The fall of reach," Then you should know that wherever the covenent go, all the civilians dissapear. Maybe they eat them? (Like in the cut-scene before the first arbiter mission in H2, where the brutes are starving, maybe they feed their soldiers enemy corpses?)
