A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

I was more looking at the inclusion of map packs which are infantry based only and how this seems to be catering to the fans EA managed to pull away from Call of Duty.
I haven't had a chance to play the new DLC, doesn't really look that great though. Does it work like a sniper?
On that point, I sort of agree. I am not sure if Close Quarters map pack was made to bring in the new faster paced, completely not-needed game mode, or just to lure in Call Of Duty players, either way, DICE -blam!-ed that one up. They would've been a lot better off making small conquest/rush maps like Operation Metro, Seine Crossing and Grand Bazaar, since those are popular infantry maps. Maps like those would've added depth to map rotation on servers, because they would've worked as 24v24 instead of being CQC exclusive.
As for Armored Kill, it was bound to fail on consoles, maps are ok on Rush, but borefest on consoles, unless you're huge fan of big vehicle maps, I personally find the best maps to have good infantry/vehicle balance.
As for Aftermath, I have BF3 on Xbox, but I've played a bit on PS3 at my friend's house. The maps are brilliant, Scavenger game mode is fun, and the crossbow is powerful, I think it isn't "easy mode" though, I think I can call myself a "good sniper", so I had no trouble using the thing at longer ranges. I got randomly killed by it every now and then, but most of the time I had no trouble taking out people using it unless they got me in middle of firefight or I wasn't aware of them.
Aftermath is the best DLC so far, it feels so much fun after 2 DLCs that I personally didn't like.
