The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

It's also a tough month for a lot of people to find time to game. Traveling for Thanksgiving, college finals, high school tests before X Mas break...

Personally, yesterday was the first day I found time to play any game in like 4 weeks.

Crazy, it's almost as if tons of other games just came out, or Steam just did a season sale, or it's nearing finals time for school.

But I bet that stuff didn't affect it at all.

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

March 3, 2553

Im not surprised. Reach failed, why would Halo 4 do any better when it took what made it bad and made it worse.

I never quite understood why people obsess with a online game's "population" numbers. So long as there are ~100 people online, you're pretty much good to go.

iPhone 4S 64GB Black.

Haha, it's less than Reach six months ago.

OP has apparently never seen post-launch population trends for any game at all, because if he had he would know that this is basically expected.
This.

Hahaha oh yes adding guns to the game is copying COD. Oh the whiners and their lack of good arguments.

I like how you don't acknowledge perma-sprint, modifications, ordinance drops, instant respawn, join in progress, custom loadouts, point system, or kill-cams.

Seriously though, how does this stuff ruin the game?

Something like reticle bloom ruined the game, because it added a factor of randomness to the game. All of the things you said, however, do not affect the game too poorly, as it doesn't add any randomness to the game.

Back in H3, everyone complained about AR starts. Loadouts fixed that problem. Don't like ordnance drops? Play Slayer Pro. You don't like the POINTS SYSTEM? Well deal with it. It makes no difference to gameplay. Don't like insta respawn? Slayer Pro. Don't like perma-sprint? It made the game faster, which was dearly needed after Reach.

Seriously though, the core gameplay is the same, just faster. None of the things you stated ruin the game.
Point and argument to boot.

If I ever get AIDS, I'm going to sleep with another AIDS person so my AIDS cancel each other out, or I'm going to make the AIDS I already have worse.

I absolutely love when you people use this argument, it shows you can't be taken seriously.

Not surprised the game is a slap in the face to the halo community.

Wheres Meh Sniper?

Youtube page

Not surprised. Not that Halo 4 is a bad game, but come on. BlOps 2 came out a week after. I'm not saying that Cod is better, it is just hyped more.

  • 11.29.2012 3:10 PM PDT

You have to admit that Halo 4 is still pretty -BLAM- rad. Maybe you don't like it as much as Reach/3/2/CE but it is still it's own game and fun to play. My two cents. No one prolly cares but I thought I'd give it a go lol

Some things in this World you just can't explain; but that doesn't mean they are any less true, just that you have to chose to believe in them.

One, two, Pinkie's... Coming for you...
Three, four... You will breath no more...
Five, six... Gotta add it to the mix...
Seven, eight... Gonna bake cupcakes...
Nine, ten... You're my very best friend...

Dang...

It really is dying.

Reach was out for over a month and it retained a lowest of 566,492 players.

Halo 4 is lucky to even get 200,000 on a weekend.

Bad move to release it BEFORE Black Ops 2.

Ouch...but I can see why people have stopped playing it.

I stopped playing it because the game got boring waaay too fast. Halo 4's matchmaking didn't stick with me.

Those are unique players not peak populations, how do you not get this?

...Unique players?

Sorry, not very good with charts and whatnot, care to explain?

Unique players = The amount of individual Gamertags that have played the game over 24 hours. The OP posted a chart which shows peak and hourly population levels.

Which consists of unique players.

  • 12.03.2012 8:47 AM PDT

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

Quite logical that the population dropped after this year's other gargantuan shooter sequel appeared, considering how (mysteriously) popular it is.

What?

Unique Users = Every single person who has been online, whether at 1 AM or 1PM, and all throughout the day.

Peak Population = Highest amount of players surveyed over a 24 hour period online at once.
