Noob days:

Back in Junior High (and earlier), when my gym teacher and fellow classmates talked about benching, I always thought it had something to do with a "bench" where you sit.

- Benching under 100 Pounds (Age 14-16) :'(
- Tried to go for the 45's but always struggled on the first rep
- Weights would fall off on one end
- Yes. I tried to "be that guy" giving benching advice when I didn't know jack sh**

Improved Days:

- Benching 225 Pounds
- Still need to work on form
- Yes. I AM "that guy" now

What was your experience like first time benching and how is it now?

If you were my son, I'd be proud.
This. I'd take you out for a dinner at your favorite restaurant.

Quoted by a Mod. Call me a suck up, but I feel pretty damn awesome right now.

18, starting to lift and get in shape, and I can bench 105. I plan for it to improve by a lot in the comings months, along with my figure.

I'm not mean. I don't troll. I like The Flood.
~08/08/2000~ I'm 11 right now. Please don't let this convey an immature image of me.

when you were 16 do you realize you could have benched your weight if you tried? or were you less than 100 pounds?!

OP must have a really sad life if the only interesting thing he has to talk about is benching

  • 11.29.2012 9:22 AM PDT

How OP's first benching session went.
