Subject: If I go back and play Morrowind (without mods)

Will I find it to be the God of all games the way everyone describes it, or will it just seem good but not amazing because I don't have the nostalgia of playing it back when it was released.

Sorry if that was horribly worded, I've been having trouble putting thoughts Into words today for some reason.

Morrowind was awful dude.

No replay value, for me at least.

I am being quite serious. I was just stating my opinion.

If you play Vanilla Morrowind without ever having played it before you won't enjoy it, it has aged badly, people only like it now because of nostalgia.

I do think it looks bearable from what I've seen, why I really want it is because guilds apparently don't make you their leader after about two week of being with them like in skyrim, that really get on my nerves in skyrim.

I agree, without nostalgia the game has not aged well.

They also have requirements. If you want to be the archmage then you need to have very good magic stats.

As for the game itself. I recently bought and haven't played that much, but I really like what I've seen so far. Everything is much more in depth and the combat is more based on dice rolls than trying to dodge attacks yourself. I like how you actually need to follow the directions npc's give you instead of following an arrow. There's apparently also loads of unique weapons armor.

I'd say that there's a good chance you'll like morrowind if dice roll combat and less accessibility don't turn you off.

At the least i would recommend a texture mod and perhaps a gameplay enhancing mod. The game hasn't aged well...

It's still pretty fun without mods.

I'll give it a try as a vanilla game, I have a shared computer and the other guy who uses it is paranoid about viruses and it may not be worth the hassle of convincing him that it's safe if I like the base game..

I've got a fan!

It's pretty bad by modern standards...you'll probably hate it OP. If you've got the patience to get through the difficulty of the beginning, it's a blast though.

NON FACET NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRUM PERNǢUM

You're going to hate the graphics compared to the new games, it's fun and the world is large but I'd go with Skyrim or at least Oblivion.

I've already played those two, I don't have a problem with the graphics or gamplay IF the story and other features compensate.

Story is cool, there's a lot of questing to be done, and the Dwemer ruins are great for a dungeon crawl. This said however, if you kill someone related to main quest you need to start over. So that's kinda a pain.

On the Left

Godshatter: I can go all the way with someone without being attracted to them.
CamCamm: How does that work?
Godshatter: I'm easily aroused by anything that moves. It's a curse.
Brain says 'No, that's ugly', body says 'ugly is fine with me'.

I tried playing the Xbox360 just to try it out, looks UGLY!!! Will try on PC someday. I bought the Elder Scrolls package from steam. Should look better :P
