If you play Vanilla Morrowind without ever having played it before you won't enjoy it, it has aged badly, people only like it now because of nostalgia.
I do think it looks bearable from what I've seen, why I really want it is because guilds apparently don't make you their leader after about two week of being with them like in skyrim, that really get on my nerves in skyrim.They also have requirements. If you want to be the archmage then you need to have very good magic stats.
As for the game itself. I recently bought and haven't played that much, but I really like what I've seen so far. Everything is much more in depth and the combat is more based on dice rolls than trying to dodge attacks yourself. I like how you actually need to follow the directions npc's give you instead of following an arrow. There's apparently also loads of unique weapons armor.
I'd say that there's a good chance you'll like morrowind if dice roll combat and less accessibility don't turn you off.
