Halo 4 does have a few issues to resolve, but once they do it, the game will be much more enjoyable.

As for people quitting, they're immature, unreasonable, and likely just doing it for attention.

343 will likely respond to some, if not all of the issues, but it does take time to correct the issues, especially when you have to make sure the corrections don't upset the balance any further.

If after 6 months and none of the problems have even been attempted to be fixed, then you can cry foul and quit the game.

That's the problem with some people. They don't give the game time. The developers aren't machines. They can't fix EVERY issue in less than a month.

I still play Halo Reach. BUNGiE really knows how to make lasting fun.

I refuse to play non BUNGiE created Halo games. Plain and simple.

OH GOD PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY GOING BACK TO REACH!!??!!

ABORT 343i. ABORT

Seriously, how many people actually play Reach?

I would also like to know this.

I remember so many people used to play Halo. Almost all my friends have drifted away from the series, most after Reach, a few others after this game. The series truly isn't the same and its sad that it'll never be the same as when Halo 3 was "in".

I was a freshman in high school when Halo 3 was at its peak.
:(
I was in 7th grade, remember everyone was talking about that game, it was huge. More than any other game ever when being released.

My 15 friends and I went to the midnight launch for Halo 3. There were about 150 to 200 people waiting in line.

For Halo 4, I went with two friends and there were about 20 people in line.

=\

Well, nothing will ever compare to the mass exodus of fans and players from lolReach.

Halo 4 may not be the best, but hell, it's better than lolReach.
Not really halo 4 is based on luck halo reach although a low skill gap had one.

How, exactly, is Halo 4 based on luck when the key component of Reach's luck factor--bloom--has been thrown out?
Bloom is still on the dmr. And there is thing called personal ordnance whih means no matter how good you are you roll the dice luck and might get something good. Sure reach had bloom but it dd t change the way the game was played.

Bloom on the DMR in Halo 4 is practically nonexistant. In Reach, it made any longer range encounter a coin toss on whether or not you'd get the headshot because it was strategically beneficial to just spam it.

Ordinance I can slightly agree with, slightly. And that's because getting the ordinance isn't the end. You still have to kill with it. Against good players, an ordinance user can be destroyed very quickly.

So skill ultimately ends up winning out.
Sure if we talk bad players against good. But hen it comes to good vs good it becomes who is luckier in getting a better ordnance especially when table play comes out. There was a skill gap in reach in halo 4 it is nonexistent because how can something take skill if it is based on luck.

If I like you enough, I'll mail you a Subway Sandwich. If I hate you, expect a -blam!- nuke.

There are going to be people attacking me for this, but it is true whether anybody likes it or not.

What are the true detriments of Halo 4? Lack of options. That's it. Custom Options, Theater, Campaign Scoring, Forge Options, and Firefight. Everything else that is shipped with the game works as intended. Whether they are lacking in quality is dependent on the way you look at it, like Spartan Ops and the UI.

I know I'm going to get heat for this, but this game was not designed with the key Halo formula in mind. I am honestly laughing at some of the people that are disappointed with this game for multiplayer reasons. Saying how it isn't balanced, competitive, or even "Halo" makes me laugh. It's like, no -blam!- -blam!-? You are just realizing that now?

The moment I saw one multiplayer game way before release, I knew this game wasn't going to be the "Halo" that I once loved. I came to terms with that then, and I wasn't disappointed when I finally got what I expected. A casual, unbalanced, and incentive-lacking generic sci-fi fps. In laymen's terms, Reach 2.0 or Call Of Halo. I know for a fact that some are going to be pissed at me for making that statement, but just look at the damn game.

You have to unlock everything for your custom loadouts. That right there is two giant points that take this game far away from the classic Halo style. Ordinance Drops. Now we are just getting even farther into the unbalanced section of multiplayer. Instant and Dynamic Spawning. These should have been major things to think about back then as well. Don't forget about irremovable Sprint as well. Do you want to know what the best part about it is though? None of the aspects in this paragraph are "detriments" to the game, and they are not "broken". They just break the foundation of the classic Halo game mechanics. Is that bad? The answer is only yes if you are looking at this game from a Halo/competitive standpoint, and if you were looking at this game from a Halo/competitive standpoint at launch, then I guess you should have watched at least one multiplayer game before buying the damn thing.

Is Halo 4 pushing the community away? I would say yes if it was referring to the competitive and/or classic Halo multiplayer community. I would also agree that the lack of options are major detriments to the overall package of Halo 4 as well, and were a backstab overall.

343i just wants to make this new trilogy their franchise. It is only a bad thing if you are looking at it the wrong way.

I would agree that what is good isn't really much, but there is some promise in the game itself. I just hope they fix the mistakes they have made asap.

Ah but mate you should ask them which is more competetive. Go watch halo councils newest episode including memets from many community's including go mollypop. Halo 4 is a halo joke. Sure reach was bad but half tr people who complained about it played it all of the time. Reach had a low skill gap I agree but halo 4 doesn't have one because it is based on luck not skill.

What's a shame is that I never gave Halo 4 a chance by purchasing the game; especially when I'm known for enjoying a game for it's worth. Now I'll never know what I missed out on. I still remember all the fun that Halo Reach offered and had a blast creating and playing custom maps. I remember eating cookies while my friends were solving a puzzle and doing all the work XD.

Anyways, Halo Reach and Halo 4 are both considered jokes. But I've noticed Halo Reach gets more criticism since it's older and had more lulzy things about it.

Basically, lolreach.

4 weeks since release so give them a break, people seem really entitled and want everything done right then right now or they are going to stop playing.

Its pretty dam pathetic.

I bought a 60 dollar game and I want a quality experience.

My bad iPhone grammar. At least reach was fixable, it's pretty hard to fix the personal and random ordinance drops I would imagine. Idk either way lolhalo.

Thanks

So 300,00 xbox live players all stopped playing to get attention...And who exactly did they want attention from? As for the it is painfully obvious they in no way did a thorough test of any systems or maps. Things like wall glitches, terrible hit boxes, overpowered/underpowered vehicles, and above all else server problems should not be this much of an issue for a AAA developer, especially one with Microsoft funding. So cry me a river about how we all want attention, even Reach didn't have server problems after the first few days, Halo 4 STILL has issues with theirs.
