Subject: Games are for fun

I think most of you have forgot this.

To have FUN I need a balanced game that I can play competitively.

Gamertag - Rdog 11

Call me Rdog, not RdOG or RdOG1507. I made that username when I thought it was cool to use alternating capital and lowercase letters...

Agreed. It's just a game! It's not the end of the world.

Spec Ops: The Line isn't for 'fun'. Horror games aren't really 'fun'.
Games are not necessarily for fun.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

OP you must realize some people like the seriousness of competition.
I do understand, however, that the two can be merged causing casual gamers or competitive gamers to conflict over a developer's failure to segregate the multiplayer side of their game into competitive and casual playlists.

Games are not necessarily for fun.

Then do you care to explain what they are for?

An emotional journey, most likely.

Yes they do. And too many people throw a hissy fit if the game isn't designed to their specifications.

That is the definition of the word "Entitled." Competitives can have competitive games, but if all they play is competitively and actually crucify non-competitive games, then they may want to reevaluate their lives. These people are not competitives, they are what are called "Tryhards."

Sometimes kicking back and blowing -blam!- up can be just as fun as playing in competition, even for competitives.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

Fun is subjective.
