The most interesting character i've ever seen in a literary work is Arloste 'Rampage'. She is made immortal through a magic talisman that heals all injuries, even disintegration. This creates an internal conflict, as she does not want to live, because the same talisman that makes her immortal has several souls from past users tied into it. The souls from the previous users occasionally take control of her body, leading her to do things she did not mean to do. One of the past owners was a child serial killer, "The Angel of Death". This soul taking control has lead to Arloste killing children on two occasions, both times without her knowing. I find her guilt and want to die, while being unable to kill herself very interesting. Anyway, now that i've told you my favourite literary, please tell me yours.

TL;DR: My favorite character from a book is a rampaging, sometimes psychotic, unkillable person. What is your favourite character from a book?

Soul of the mind, key to life's ether
Soul of the lost, withdrawn from its vessel
May strength be granted so the world might be mended...
So the world might be mended...

I find quite a few of the characters in the ASOIAF series to be some of the most interesting I've come across.
