Sup, broski

Reach still sucks.

Those two games generally had the same gameplay mechanics. The only difference that I can think of, which was considered huge, was the fact that Halo 3 had a horrible netcode.

Not to mention the inconsistent Halo 3 BR spread, and I'll add in equipment as well.

Not everything is covered in nostalgia, some people just have preferences.

Really not all the glitches, button combos, modders, the last 10 levels being a joke/unreachable, and the absurd autoaim. I will say it had good maps, but other than that it really was a mess. Then you also have other things lacking such as forge, multiplayer campaign, and theater among other things. For the most part Halo 2 was good, but it had issues which were more or less resolved in Halo 3.

Halo 2 had problems. For some, Halo 3 was literally unplayable.

Not everyone experienced glitchers, modders, and button combo guys.

Most didn't play competitively enough to even dream of getting a 50.

Forge and theater were non-existent back then, and they don't take away from the quality experience a person had within Halo 2 itself.

The lack of online co-op was the only thing that actually sucked because there was a lobby for it, but yeah.

I'm The Batman.

No. Reach was -blam!-. I don't care if Halo 4 is worse. Reach is still a bad game, and always will be.

We are soldiers without borders, our purpose defined by the era we live in. This is our Heaven, and our Hell.

No, the games are just consistently worse than the former. Halo 4 doesn't make me think Halo Reach was any better or worse than I always thought it was. It was a decent FPS that took place in my favorite video game universe. It kind of -blam!- on the community and left it divided. Halo 4 has done nothing to reconcile that problem yet.

I really want to like Halo 4, but my main problem is my terrible router that makes it impossible. That's one thing that I can fix, but there are a ton of problems that 343 can fix. The good thing is, they are all fixable problems. The game will be good in due time, but it is obvious the matchmaking as a whole was rushed completely. Microsoft just had to get the new Halo game out there a week before Call of Duty.

I don't expect Halo to live forever, in fact I really don't think it should. The first 3 games were magical, and Reach and 4 are decent successors to those 3.

I can't go back to 01 or 04 or 07. I don't expect the games to bring me back in spirit either.

I find it a little hard to realize my favorite series is starting to fall from first place in my mind.

Ever since I saw those Destiny screens and the Bungie Post, that's all I am really interested in. I just can't wait to see what Bungie will bring to the table when they make their return.

Bungie doesn't like French on their site.

Halo Reach was a great game

The story was fun - I liked seeing my spartan. Normal matchmaking without TU, ugh, hated it. Bloom, armorlock and jetpack were annoying. Now, TU wasn't so bad. Customs weren't the same, they didn't have tat quality like Halo 3 had - however, I did enjoy Forge World. I hardly ever used Forge, so, no comment on that.

I give Reach 3/5

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

Uhh the BETA was good. Then launch hit and... then... campaign... uuhhhh.

How was it unplayable for some people? As for glitches, modders, and button combos sure you wouldn't constantly meet them, but they were a part of Halo 2 to ignore that is just ignoring a flaw in the game to try and say it was better than it actually was. As for the 50 comment I don't think you understand or you either forgot. I am hoping it is the latter. When I said it was unreachable I was being serious almost everyone 40+ was a modder with very few exceptions. Modders were everywhere in Halo 2 either in MM or custom games. The higher in the rank system you got the more prevalent they were. Simply put Halo 2 had poor multiplayer because of that along with some things already mentioned. As for forge and theater I don't think theater was a big of a deal, but forge and the new gametypes that came along with it were a good change for the better. It improved/fixed a lot of issues that were involved with Halo 2 custom games such as people not switching over to the other team in infection. Halo 3 improved customs so much that it really is a joke to compare Halo 2 and 3 in that aspect.

It doesn't really matter; I have no idea why Bungie kept the forums up; it's just a giant hate machine. Now Waypoint is a bad as B.net ever was in my experience. It really doesn't seem to serve much of a purpose.

It's a series. Everyone has their personal high and low points. I actually like Halo 4 more than Halo 3, but not as well as Halo 2 or CE, and ODST might actually be my favorite. I don't really have a place for Reach in that order, but I can tell you that I enjoyed it immensely with friends online, and what more could I ask for than that?

"You are the last of your kind: bred for combat, built for war. You're the master of any weapon, pilot of any vehicle, and fear no enemy"

I always liked Reach. And I have a higher K/D in Halo4.

Yeah, I have class, and you need paragraphs bro. I agree that Halo 3 improved as well, I just don't agree with the nostalgia glasses statement.

Peace.

Halo 3 came out, Halo 2 was awesome and Halo 3 sucked.
I don't remember this.

Reach isn't a bad game, but to me, it's the most inferior of the Halo games.

How so? Halo 2 had problems and it seems like a lot of people either like to ignore/forget about them. The fact is they were there and they were fixed/improved in Halo 3. Don't get me wrong Halo 2 was an amazing game, but I refuse to act like it was better than Halo 3 when it had a ton of issues while Halo 3 didn't. Then Halo 3 improved on a lot of aspects that Halo 2 had.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Nope. Halo Reach is a okay game. Halo 4 is total trash though.

Oh yeah and I thought Halo 3 is better than Halo 2.

If I ever see anyone post in a thread "That's your opinion", I immediately lose all respect for them.

Also, if you're discussing a topic with me and you resort to name calling, pull "life checks", or just call anything you don't agree with retarded without giving legitimate reasons, don't expect me to take you serious in anyway what so ever.

Reach wasn't and will never be good. I don't care what anyone tries to justify. They can say it was closer to Halo than 4 is, they can say weapons on map, they can claim whatever they want. Reach is and will always be a turd. No matter what happens or people say.

I'll just leave this here and read the responses when I get back from school. Don't disappoint me, Flood.

That's a pretty tall order for the flood.

OT: I like CE, halo 2, halo 3 (+ODST), reach and halo 4. Bite me haters.

Furthermore, what ever happened to people enjoying a game for the gameplay that it offers?
Is it really that hard to understand that perhaps people don't enjoy the game because of the gameplay it offers?

Adjective noun is Adjective.

Halo 3 has barely anyone still playing.

Halo reach is meh.

Halo 4 has the ability to change shield strength and reload time, as well as have a motion sensor when zoomed in, has a retarded plot, and the whole selling point is for kids. I mean compare the trailers; Halo 3: Mastercief walking among ruins with cortana talking, purely about meaning.

Halo 4: WOAH THERE'S A FIERY SKELETON FACED HOVERING ROBOT AND I'M FIGHTING IT YEAH COOL

Not to mention there is not strategy to take down knights. You simply have to shoot the hell out of the watcher, then shoot the hell out of the knight. It moves too fast, hit's too hard, has too much health and watches you too much to flank, snipe it, or use any strategy beyond just shooting it for ages.

With wraiths in previous halos as the power enemy, you could board it, snipe off the protective cover on the driver then snipe him, use a good laser shoot, keep power weapons for it which would require sacrificing a long term use weapon, or there were chieftains who would force you do get a good headshot, which was hard but at least doable, or force you to distract with a teammate to assassinate, which was also actually doable seeing as they could actually be distracted.

Knights also get healed, move everywhere, teleport, dodge and have a shield so grenades or power weapons are also out of the picture.

Nahman Jayden, Eff bee eye. I herd that you're the origammy killah...

No, Halo 3 took far more skill than 2.
No lolhitscan BR
No Bs sword lunge
WAY less aim assist
and the melee lunge for 2 was worse than reach

But Reach still blew the D.
