Giggity Giggity Goo - Quagmire

I'm turning to the Flood as a last resort. I've already emailed projectred and asked questions on Steam and their own forums but I have received no answers. I haven't been able to find a lot of information from searches either.

My problem is that whenever there is a loading screen in the game it will load endlessly on my game unless I cntrl alt del and right click the game and bring it back up, this will bring the game up instantly usually but sometimes the game just exits with no message that I would normally get about a game crashing. Does anyone know of any fixes for this? Thanks.

I'm using the recommended settings for playing the game which is on high for me. I have an i5 processor 3.1ghz.

Have you got your most recent graphic card drivers? And for your motherboard too?

How hot is your card and CPU running? Download something like Hardware Monitor to find out.

What are your other specs OP?

Are you using any mods, have you tried redownloading/updating the game, and/or have you used lower settings?

No mods, I've verified the game cache on Steam, it's completely up to date, and I have tried using lower settings.
