So people would of been just happy with remaking Halo 2 over and over again jsut with shinier graphics and the same maps ove rand over again.
CoD saw that changing their formula was a risky move and they saw players want basically the same game over and over again, maybe with different maps and locations but other than that the same and stuck with their winning formula, wich keeps giving them massive sales as of today, Bungie took a risk by changing with Reach and we all kno how well that went with the community, I bet if Bungie jus thad kept pumping an enhanced version of H2 or 3 the fanbase woudl be soo happy.
You're generalizing.
It's certainly true that there has been quite a bit of hypocrisy concerning changes made to Halo over the past five years in particular, but some of us appreciate the fact that 343i and Bungie were at least willing to change so as to not make the formula stale (as CoD has become). I hated Reach's story, but not because it was change, but rather because it was distorting the established Universe that should never be changed unless for very good reason. I liked the ideas Reach put into motion in its multiplayer, from AAs to Loadouts.
While I agree that the hypocrisy needs to settle itself, there are fans who genuinely like Halo because it has the audacity to change a successful formula in order to prevent obsolescence.
I agree is just i find it really funny when some users pos ton one thread how much they hate CoD for never changing and in another thread they go onand whien because Halo is not like the previous installments and that they rather have a rehashed version of the previous isntallment than the new game.
