Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.
Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

Six full meals? No.
Six mini meals? Yes, I did this a while back in an effort to lose weight. The idea was to always be processing something.
So, I kept my diet to roughly 1600 kcals, but had it spread through six meals, as opposed to 3.
I did lose some weight, but its tedious to be always nibbling.
6 meals isn't any better/worse than 3. It's what you eat that matters, not how you space it out across the day.
It had something to do with metabolism. I guess your metabolism is slightly higher if you are always nibbling. I gave it up. It improved weight loss by about a pound a month. I made up for that by adding 10 minutes every week on the elliptical machine.
No, really, that's not true.

Those articles seem to all say there isn't enough data to know one way or the other.
And the first one says that eating 3 over 2 meals is better. The last ones (about nibbling) are the most relevant, but even they say there isn't enough data for humans yet...
I am only speaking from what a nutritionist and my doctor said to try. I did try it, and found only a small benefit, and even that could have been explained by something else.
You seem to be thinking I am taking an extreme position here (judging by the over reaction you did and the term paper level of research you just dropped on us) when I am just saying that even if there was a health benefit, its small and easily replaced by 10 more minutes a week of cardio activity.
