Would all those, all of us, fans of the Halo concept be prepared to sign a petition calling on Bungie/Microsoft et al, to maintain and continue Halo in the video game genre? If enough people, if enough of us, insist, demand that Bungie continue Halo, even in an extended universe, they would have little choice but to acknowledge this. Remember the show Cagney and Lacey, that show was cancelled by the network, but a write-in campaign by loyal viewers forced the network to bring the show back. I believe that was the first time that had happened. Why should we just be expected to let go and give up on Halo just because Bungie "says" they are no longer going to produce Halo video-games? Maybe all they need is some "encouragement" from all the Halo fans out there that we really want Halo to live, not die. Sure, the main draw may still be the multiplayer in the game, but still that would be enough of a reason to continue. The movie, or movies, will only be a cinematice recreation of the first game, or possibly all three games, so they wouldn't be making any games based on the movie(s). I think there will be comic books and novels on Halo just like with Star Wars, which is a franchise, so I see no reason why Bungie couldn't maintain Halo as The Further or Continuing Adventures of Cortana and Master Chief. I mean, Star Trek goes on and on and nobody seems to be complaining. If there were just such a petition to sign, would you sign it? I would, then I would have it submitted directly to Bungie for a reply or an explanation. What say all of you?

i wouldnt and i think many people would agree with me because:
halo 3 is the end it is fun while it lasts but you will get stupid plots in a sequel or you will get sighs over a prequel, just like joking you gotta know where to stop.

Umm, this is just the end of trilogy so it's not like halo is gonna be dead forever, depending on how well halo 3 does. But they cant just keep adding to the story it has to end somtime and supposivley halo 3 is it. They would have to start a new game similar to halo a maybe a different story in the halo world. I mean even if halo 3 doesnt meet my expectations I already know I'll be at the store at midnight whenever it comes out getting my copy not knowing if the game will suck or not... But going off the other 2 games bungie made I'm pretty sure I'll be pleased.

maybe a MMO or an RTS but i want a whole new series from bungie more

BRING BACK PROJECT PHEONIX[/quote

I agree.

Only for an MMO that doesn't have much to do with the story line of halo. Maybe it could be the battle for reach or the battle on reach (so we don’t get to use the huge ships.). I do not think this will happen even if everyone signs this petition though. We know what we think we might want; Bungie knows what will work, what wont work, and what would be more fun to play better than we do. They will do what’s better for their game, and continuing the Halo series past halo 3 will not be better. Every series that is stretched to far gets ruined. They will make a fresh game, which most of us will love just as much as Halo. Do not worry about letting Halo go. Halo didn’t make Halo fun, Bungie did and Bungie will make their next series fun.

1. Petitions are prohibided
2. The story will end in Halo 3
3. The other story parts like the Fall of Reach will probably be in the Halo movie
4. Bungie can do other great games, not just Halo
5. Let's try to Finish the Halo trilogy a good way, because it's the way people will remember Halo later, if they do 12 Halo games it's obvious that the last ones will suck because they would have no more content to work with. And people will remember Halo being a bad serie.
