Would all those, all of us, fans of the Halo concept be prepared to sign a petition calling on Bungie/Microsoft et al, to maintain and continue Halo in the video game genre? If enough people, if enough of us, insist, demand that Bungie continue Halo, even in an extended universe, they would have little choice but to acknowledge this. Remember the show Cagney and Lacey, that show was cancelled by the network, but a write-in campaign by loyal viewers forced the network to bring the show back. I believe that was the first time that had happened. Why should we just be expected to let go and give up on Halo just because Bungie "says" they are no longer going to produce Halo video-games? Maybe all they need is some "encouragement" from all the Halo fans out there that we really want Halo to live, not die. Sure, the main draw may still be the multiplayer in the game, but still that would be enough of a reason to continue. The movie, or movies, will only be a cinematice recreation of the first game, or possibly all three games, so they wouldn't be making any games based on the movie(s). I think there will be comic books and novels on Halo just like with Star Wars, which is a franchise, so I see no reason why Bungie couldn't maintain Halo as The Further or Continuing Adventures of Cortana and Master Chief. I mean, Star Trek goes on and on and nobody seems to be complaining. If there were just such a petition to sign, would you sign it? I would, then I would have it submitted directly to Bungie for a reply or an explanation. What say all of you?
