If you're a zombie and you know it, bite your friends.

The Flood Theory of Deterioration: q(p)=(qi)e^(-p/r)

Where q(p) is the quality of the thread as a function of p posts, (qi) is the inital quality of the first post, p is the amount of posts and r is the e-peen of the original poster.

OP if you like books that take historical mysteries and try and give them actual scientific explanations read the books by James Rollins. Some that I'd really recommend would be The Judas Strain, The Last Oracle, The Doomsday Key, The Devil Colony, Subterranean and Amazonia. He is easily my favourite author, I've loved every book by him I've read, which is every book he's written except for The Blood Order, which I don't think is out in Paperback yet.

Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child when they write books together are another two I'd recommend. Start with the very first book they wrote, Relic, and see what you think. Their book, Riptide, is the one that helped make me a reader along with Excavation by James Rollins.

Paperback

Hardcover offers more protection. I also didn't know there were any historical mysteries out there... or perhaps we just have differing definitions on what exactly constitutes as a mystery.

Paperback

Hardcover offers more protection. I also didn't know there were any historical mysteries out there... or perhaps we just have differing definitions on what exactly constitutes as a mystery.

The Doomsday Key has an explanation for whichever Saint who was believed to have supernatural healing powers. The Devil Colony touches on Mormonism, the Caucasian bodies found in The Americas that are thousands of years old and the founding of the U.S.. The Last Oracle touches on Autism, the plethora of inconclusive psychic studies done during the Cold War and the Oracle of Delphi. It could also say some of the stuff that is considered historical legends if you will. At the end of the books by James Rollins he has a little separating the fact from the fiction part. Where he explains which part of the book is based on fact, and which part he made up. It's really quite interesting.

I prefer paperback because I find Hardcover are too difficult to carry around without a back pack, I can just put it in my back pocket. They also cost less money. Since I tend to read a fair amount I prefer paperback books.

Storm of Steel.
THIS!

Also, A Scanner Darkly. The book is a million times better than the movie. It's also quite a bit different.

I would not recommend reading any of the A series Of Unfortunate Events books unless you are willing to read the miserable story. Let's just saying writing it wasn't easy.

Those books were so depressing to read. Kicking puppies is more joyful.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Anything by Isaac Asimov is guaranteed to be a hit. But I recommend the Foundation series.
