Bungie doesn't like French on their site.

I wouldn't let a 9 year old play video games..He could do something way more better. But, I suppose a DS (not sure if it's called that anymore, DSI? DSI Lite?) and 2 or 3 E games for it will be fine.

This. It has cooperative play for up to four players if memory serves, the gameplay is great, the visuals are beautiful, the gameplay doesn't insult you as a gamer, and there's plenty of hidden areas for you to search for.

Donkey Kong Country Returns might be another good one for many of the same reasons, but perhaps might a bit too much on the challenging side. It's the one of the two I'm more familliar with.
