I like how your sub box is full of science and political videos but your recommendations are full of anime girls kissing each other.

Just Zoid being Zoid ^_^

Xenoblade Chronicles, Kirby's Epic Yarn

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

Minecraft.

This. Me and my daughter play this together (on peaceful, obviously).

The game is simply magnificent, my girlfriend usually doesn't like games outside stuff like Singstar or Kinect, but she loves playing Minecraft.

..On peaceful, obviously haha.

The objective of war is not to die for your cause. It is to make your enemies die for theirs.

Mirrors edge is pretty fun. There is a bit of shooting in it and a murder scene but other than that it is otherwise kid friendly. That is, if you forget about the fact that when you fall off of the skyscrapers, you can hear the crunch of your bones and the splat of your flesh.

My brother really likes the lego games and there's tons of replay-ability. Also I think there are some Spongebob games out there that aren't half bad either if I remember correctly.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I think when I was little, I used to play Jack and Daxter (original), Ratchet and Clank (original), and Starwars Battlefront I & II a ton on my PS2.

If he had a PC, Wii U, or Nintendo 3DS I'd say to get him Scribblenauts: Unlimited

People are crazy, and times are strange...

Who spends 400 dollars on video games for one person?
