The fact that trees dry out and become potentially ultra flammable makes me really nervous. It's essentially a large tinder! When I grow up, I'm not even going to have a tree! I'm definitely gonna do the gift exchange thing though, even though i'm an atheist.

You can always buy a fake one.

Or make sure the actual tree has a good water supply.
