If Requiem is a hollow planet, then how can people inside of Requiem traverse if there is "no gravity" inside of a hollow planet?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we were inside of a planet that's hollow, we would have equal forces pulling on us from all sides inside of the hollow planet, thus suspended in air due to "no gravity".

Or am I missing something?

I'm pretty sure that if forerunners can build worlds then they can control gravity as well.

It's a shield world. If it obeyed physics, then it would probably split/crack where the holes are and wouldn't have the slip-space continuum within it that advances time as it does.

The physics, for the most part of Requiem, agree with the so-called physics of a shield world, which is theorized and contemplated. It also has artificial gravity and, to make it stranger, a sun larger than ours within it.

For the most part..

In the Spartan Ops Episode trailer or whatever, when the artifact is brought aboard the Infinity and activated it disables the artificial gravity. As well, the same question goes for Halo Wars.

It's the least plausible version of it, but it is possible to have a Dyson Sphere Requiem style.

So you were ok with a ring world and simulated gravity on space ships, but this is where you draw the line?

Not for the forerunners. Or even the UNSC, all their ships have artificial gravity.

The UNSC Infinity (and I'm sure many if not all UNSC ships) have their own artificial gravity, which was made clear in Spartan Ops Season 1, Episode 2. The Forerunners must have used this technology for their entire planet.

Seriously? It's a video game where the Forurunners can make artificial planets, but it's hard for you to think they can't make artificial gravity?

Why does everyone act like it's magic? You could literally just spin the planet and you would be simulating gravity.

The ring world has gravity because the centripetal force of it spinning pins the inhabitants to the edge of the ring world instead of the center.

Which isn't possible with a sphere as far as I know, so I doubt that's what Requiem's doing.

If you're only questioning that, why not take the slip-space continuum unto question as the time advanced within Onyx and possibly Requiem?

Artificial gravity is on every ship for every species, which would make that, by default, the given reason why Requiem hasn't collapsed within itself.

1) All the UNSC and Covenant ships have had artificial gravity throughout the series.

2) You should really read up on the physics of Dyson spheres.

Wouldn't the gravity only work for people on the equator?

just accept it. artificial gravity has been mastered by even the UNSC, the most primitive organization in the Halo Universe. Of course the forerunners have it.

I'm reading up on it.

UNSC Ships have "centrifugal force" and linear acceleration, not "gravity machines".

Still, the Forerunners are thousands upon thousands of years ahead of the UNSC in technology. It's artificial gravity.
