Heres the thing about more air vehicles. I've never really liked the Banshee, I've always called it the big purple douche. Sure, doing little flips in the air is fun, but I hate when I have to watch horrible pilots crash into walls on xbox live. Having more air vehicles would ruin the small-scale battles that make Halo 2 a fun game to play. Dodging a ghost with nothing but an smg, hiding behind things and jumping out at people, taking out two attackers with battle-hardened close combat, you know, the little stuff. What will adding the huge maps required for making dropships useful do? I'll tell you, it will turn those little glorious tactical battles into a 10 minute walk to the other guys base, then getting picked off by a sniper 40 yards from the base, only to wait out your respawn time again, then when you finally do respawn, you get left behind by the dropship, because a 12 year-old stole it to do little flips in the air without loading up on troops. I say NO more air vehicles. If you want dropship action, play Battlefield 2, or Battlefront 2, don't go trying to change Halo 3 into another conquest bot-fest like those previously mentioned games. I play halo 2 for the close quarters heart pumping action, where you can see the reflections in the other spartan's helmet.
