What do you think of its gameplay? IMO Infiltrator is pretty fun on insanity with the upgraded spectre sniper.

This isn't about the fail ending or story problems so ignore that.

Lol someone mentions ME3 in your other thread so you make a new one about it.

The gameplay wasn't bad, other than weird glitchy or downright retarded animations (sprint looks constipated).

It is typically uninteresting AA type gameplay. There isn't much else to say about it.

  • 12.01.2012 2:33 PM PDT

The gameplay was really improved from Mass Effect 2. The omniblade melee attack, customizable mods on guns, and rolling ability enhanced the gameplay.

My troll sense is tingling.

It was pretty good but lacked variety. That and it felt like it was trying too hard.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

It was a big upgrade from ME2.

I am a monument to all your sins

It's much better than Me2's. you can actually be a vanguard in it.

  • 12.01.2012 2:36 PM PDT

I thought it was good. It took ME2's and made it more fluid.

The gameplay was overwhelmingly meh. The feel of the series's gameplay has gone down since the first. It has become mainly a shooter first and an RPG second. That said, the combat is smooth-ish in most places, but is downright buggy. The few RPG elements of gameplay that remain are almost at Fable-level dumbed-down-ness. You can't have conversation trees with hardly any NPC, and the ones you can have them with have the branches reconverge by the end of the conversation. And then the others are just boring one-liners from NPCs, and more shockingly, Shepard him/herself. This takes away from the experience greatly.

Mediocre gameplay, mediocre game.

Well... the combat IS good, I'll give it that.

Wut?

The first ME was atrocious in how it handled in combat for anything other than soldier.

If anything, the gameplay (RPG points aside) is the main improvement throughout

I liked the core gunplay of the original Mass Effect. It was unique, and despite the atrocious level design, was actually quite fun.

The others just turned into Gears of War. Not that the gameplay was necessarily bad in the sequels, it's just it lost the originality of the first one.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Okay I know it gets annoying sometimes but it is still awesome to get that explosion especially in the multiplayer since you know people are working together.

Well I'm a little more biased toward RPG elements than combat, so that took priority in my mind. The class combat really did improve. ME2 had the best combat, except for Engineer

Thanks for reading my signature!

ME1 was a mess gameplay wise, didn't stop it being the best in the series. ME2 was a galactic leap, ME3 was more of a refinement, but they screwed up some of the biotic abilities, like Shockwave.

From a technical standpoint, ME3's is the best in the series. For sheer fun factor, ME2 trumps it.
