Too many people in this thread don't seem to understand, or want to understand, the causes of bullying.
First of all, bullies (in this context) are just kids.
Second, kids don't become bullies because they're just "bad people". If you believe that, then I ask you: what causes them to become bad people? No one is born a "bad" person. Some people are born psychopaths, but that's the exception.
We are the results of our environment. If a kid is bullying others, there's probably a reason behind it. The answer isn't to kill children. If you think it is, you're an idiot. The solution lies in attacking the causes of bullying, the issues at home that result in these behaviors.
And by the way, what's with all this talk of punishment and getting what they deserve? What does that accomplish? If you believe in absolute morality then that's God's job, and if you don't, then you understand where I'm coming from already. Jail time or isolation removes a person from those they can harm; pure punishment for punishment's sake accomplishes nothing.
P.S. I was bullied a lot when I was a kid. Those people aren't the same as they were then, and honestly I'm better off for it. I know that's not everyone's experience, but that's mine.
