Subject: I find the current generation of kids pathetic.

Hi! How you doin'?

Sometimes, all you need are a couple giant explosions to get you through the day.

Maybe if people actually up and did something about our situation instead of whining on a Video Game Forum something might change, OP.

Country: United States.
State: Pennsylvania.
County: Warren.
I graduated from high school on June-11-2011. I'm 19 right now. I'm turning 20 in December. I like playing video games, and board games. I like reading Sci-Fi, and World War II novels, and what not.

"There is nothing better in the world than being better at a video game than someone else....oh wait"

Every generation says something about the current generation of kids.

OP, I don't see how you could possibly have an informed opinion on the matter considering you're 18...

Yeah that's what every generation says. You're an idiot if you think that there were better times.

This is our culture, there must have been.

A young person analyzing the inner mechanics of society, finding its faults, and wanting to change it?

This must be complained about.

You seem to be complaining about one image and attributing it to our entire generation. Not only that, but I doubt even 1% of teenagers take those images seriously. In fact they were probably created as a joke...

2. Mass Effect 3
3. Mass Effect 2
4. Tie between Halo 3 and CoD4
5. Medal of Honor or Spec Ops: The Line

I'm relatively young (18), I'm analyzing my own generation.
Might be where you live. There are plenty of kids at my school who keep up with politics, are interested in elections and many social issues, as well as questioning their own beliefs, both religious and political, and generally seem to want to do more. This generation is a mixed bag. Just like the last one.

-Message their elected representatives (they're there to represent you, after all)

-Talk to people about how the country's situation might change for the better; brainstorm, send ideas to representatives or higher

-Vote for someone you think might more genuinely reflect your opinion on matters (look outside of the main two parties)

That's only a few I can think of, right now.

I will weep for humanity when these idiots come into power. With every passing second our race is becoming, softer, weaker, less understanding, less considering, and emotionless. We as humans are slowly losing our touch with the world around us and this generation is proof of it. Throwing away lives with acts of stupidity just to get attention. We work like a mindless machine taking in data only to use it to live another day. If we started thinking instead of sitting back and waiting for someone to man up and change the world, the world would be a better place.

The generation before raised this generation. It is your fault.

Lol OP is 18, but calls kids pathetic. OP you are barely old enough to be called a kid. So in other words stop making people your age look bad.

We've already established this. I said "I'm analyzing me own generation".

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

By underestimating your own demographic you underestimate yourself, OP.

You need to believe that you can fix it, or else you won't try.

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

Well schools don't really help kids develop their natural creative talents. You see schools cut music and art programs. Then we wonder why we have such horrible music. Movies today are all about appealing to a mass audience. There aren't many great writers getting recognized. It's all about who you know in the publishing industry.

I'm thankful when a great song or movie comes out. Shows like Breaking Bad really make me hopeful that there are still interesting and talented people making quality products.

We need to be putting more money into better schools. Get rid of crappy teachers that don't get the job done. I think the root of this generations problems is lack of education.
