I would like the ability to boot players that commit suicides to delevel. The option should be available to everyone on the team if a player commits more than 5 suicides.

deleveling is a thing you have to live with, you cannot correct all the wrong doing in the world so why try to in halo where there are way to many ways to cheat and be bad in all different ways, and like PWNAG3 said, some people fall off more so you cannot decide if they are falling off purposely or not, its just one thing you have to live with.

You can if you remove the ability to delevel. Like if you get to a lvl 10 you can't go backwards past it.

BUT...if you do lose you'll get negative points that you have to regain before you can level up.

Say you get to level 10..
150 points to advance...
but you kill yourself to delevel...
3 games of suicides = -75 points...
Thus you need 225 points to move to level 11.

-5 is way too much do you think anyone not deranking would get -4 I think it should be -2 and his -2 gets added back to the kill count so it doesnt effect the team.

You can correct suiciding however. It is not hard for the game engine to detect 3 consecutive suicides with no kills and no shots fired. I think bungie can figure something out for halo 3 to fix suiciding.

I agree prophate. I made a similiar suggestion about that over a year ago. They should implement level caps. They should inquire how chess ratings work and that will give them a better idea.

I don't know about the detecting suicides. Lets say I commit suicide once and right after that I get a kill. I repeat. My score will be zero or less. My team will more than likely lose and I will delevel. Folks just need to be careful about jumping off the edges. Furthermore, the booting is not automatic. The players on the team get to decide whether or not to boot. Maybe if two players chose the boot option, the player will actually get booted.
