Armor

Their armour is neurally linked to them, they literally command it with their mind. Thats why non-spartan personnel can't wear it, as the armour moves sharply and strongly enough to break bones.

lifting turrets

ODSTs can lift off turrets so that's no big deal.

being able to punch Elites that actually does damage.

I'd imagine being smacked in the face by a titanium alloy gauntlet would be sufficient to hurt an elite.

Your first point is good. But since when can ODSTs rip off torrents and use them? And they don't always punch elites in the face.

Since Halo 3 ODST if I remember right.

I dont think the armor amplifies strength as much as people assume.
No, it significantly amplifies their strength. They've also had enhancements that increase muscle mass and density without increasing size to the point they look like they abuse roids.

Do tell how that works.
The books described it as "chemical cocktails."

Gameplay, not canon. A human could lift an HMG, but they wouldn't be able to effectively use it on the move.

I just don't see how you can't increase mass without size. But I won't complain.

The unsc also has Slipspace, something that defys today's science also.

Country: United States.
State: Pennsylvania.
County: Warren.
I graduated from high school on June-11-2011. I'm 19 right now. I'm turning 20 in December. I like playing video games, and board games. I like reading Sci-Fi, and World War II novels, and what not.

A Chimpanzee is twice as strong as a human. But there arm size is that of an average human. It's because their mussels are built different than ours are. So it's basically the same for the Spartan programs. Also ants can lift 10 times their own body weight. So just because things don't look strong doesn't mean they aren't.
