I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

I can't wait for this game!!!!!!!! Great read, OP.

Calling it: The entire 5,656.3 square feet of the close to 300 mile long island of Palawan (upon which Puerto Princes is located) is play(-on-)able and in-game.

Missa Prolationum

Yes. We will explore space in destiny.

Only reads the tl;dr. Dominates thread discussion.

That would be great, but with that much playable area space travel seems less likely.

Either or, I'm going to be happy. A huge island to explore would be amazing, and space travel would be amazing.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I'm gonna finish it. Just like Jigga did to the pyramid.

Your TL;DR was greatly appreciated.
Not many people do those, thank you.

"10000?"

Read the whole thing; it was a good read. Hopefully all our questions will be answered this Friday.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

A game like that sounds very cool.
I can't wait to see what Bungie does.

Trying to create or recreate a sense of scale and wonderment in a video game is quite a feat. Halo 1 accomplished it very well and Halo 2 (by design) did it in more subtle ways. Halo 4, which 343i expressed would have that grandiose and enigmatic "feel", had none of it.

With a new game comes a new universe and new characters. If anyone can accomplish and recreate a sense of scale and wonderment, it's Bungie.

I'm hoping its exploration is like borderlands with drop in drop out co-op.

If we start on earth, where do you suppose we could go space traveling? If it's only within our solar system, I could see us going to the moon, possibly Mars aswell. Some space stations, who knows.

Warning: You may find that my, or someone else's opinion does not comply with yours. Side effects of disagreement may include (but are not limited to): flaming, irrational behavior, broken keyboards, and/or nervous sweats. If you experience any of these symptoms refrain from communicating with others until the symptoms have subsided.

This image also has some quotes:
"Our story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man's Golden Age."The story begins on earth, but where can it end up? Anywhere in the universe possibly?

I get what you're trying to say here, that "Our story begins..." is supposed to support the fact that we must be going other places off-planet, but I really don't think that supports the argument, as you can use "Our story begins..." for almost any story, even if the setting never changes.

Take for example a story where a woman shops for groceries at a grocery store. The story could start with, "Our story begins with Mrs. Frowley at the local grocery store..." Even if the setting never changes, that is a legitimate statement, because that is where the story started.

Now, you do have a few good points and you've made a good thread overall, so I'm not saying that there won't be a good amount of exploration, and I'm not arguing against the possibly of settings that are extraterrestrial; I'm just pointing out a flaw in that one bit of logic.

I have not read much, but what interest me the most is that all of humanity is fighting to defend the last human city, yet we are divided into faction if factions do exist, so then how do the faction interact. Are every faction under one authority, and victories is the way to gain prestige for your faction. Kind of like a competition.

Or is it that at the same time of defending humanity city side by side, you will need to kill other members of the other teams, to allow your faction to gain power, and gain more land within the city, or influence.

Interesting idea, but i believe everything has to do with the second moon. The cause of all of humanities problem etc, must have to do with it.

Ahhh, I never thought of it like that! Kind of like Harry Potter. Griffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw. Dead Orbit is hufflepuff >:D haha.

Why?

Anyway when do you think more info shall be gained. I have been on a hiatus for some, time and my info list got, archived, so now i can not edit it. Maybe start from scratch again. Well when i get time, or when i decide to actually stop procrastinating.

All info we've got has been basically recieved from leaks. But the fact that Bungie isn't shutting down all threads talking about the leaks shows us that we're close to a reveal. Especially since Bungie released something themselves.

So, some people think the VGAs will be where Destiny is officially revealed.

If not then, I'm thinking relatively close to the new year. But know one knows for sure.

I got my Recon for the '08 VDay tournament for second most kills; 2671.

I didn't "earn" it via VidMasters.

To add to your theory of space exploration, here's a quote in the "O Brave New World" ViDoc from Joesph Staten who's worked on the project since circa 2009 (post-ODST):

"In ways that we haven't revealed yet," a reference to their future universe - "[...] we absolutely learned important things from all of [the Halo] games." sauce

This statement, on it's own, is nothing notable. However, if you would take time to watch the video in context, you'd realize the quote is layered over video of... the space combat mission in Reach. Little bit of a stretch, but hey. All speculation is.
