Atari 2600 (Pong was the first cartridge in it). It was 1978 and I was 14.

It is strange seeing people OVER 14 here.

Yep, old gamers never die. Their neurons lose their myelin sheaths and they hang out on fan forums. Then they get made into Battleroids. Kinda like hemm.....erhhmmm, nevermind. I don't think I like where that analogy was going.

It is nice to see gamers at your age, and in 20 years I hope to still be playing games, though they will be much different. That is, of course, if the non-gaming world doesn't self destruct first.

The first game I ever played was a demo version of Jazz Jack Rabbit. After that it was lemmings.
I don't remeber how long ago this was, but a couple of years later I played Warcraft 1 at a friends place. Then I bought Warcraft 2. Which was released 1995. Which means I was 6 or seven.

My first video game...yes, I remember..

It was the day of my fifth birthday, and I got a huge present from my pears.
Inside of this gigant of boxes there where a tiny machine called Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

What a glorious day! I jumped around the house and out from the balcony. It was a nice nine stores drop o_0
Anyway, I plugged the SNES in and started playing the game that followed my new console friend. It was Super Mario World, a splendid game with blazing graphics and big baby-seal eyes for headlights!!!

My life has never been the same..

It was in 1987, when I was 3. I got this Space Invaders game. It was sort of like this big box with a screen in the middle. There were two sets of controls on each side, and you could either play against the computer, or one of you could play the ship, and the other could play as aliens. It was great, and I've loved games ever since.

I don't even know what game it was, it was an on old Tandy Computer, that just looked like a thick Keyboard, and it had no monior, you just plugged it into a tv, this thing predated 5.25 inch floppys, it took a cartridge that you stuck in the side. Anyway it was some game where you had to get into a castle gaurded by a dragon or something...I don't remember I was probably 4 or 5....oh and it had a joystick that plugged in the side that resembled that new atari thing you plug into your tv, you had the stick, and one button on the side.....that was a long damn time ago

Same with me. It was my brother's and he wouldn't let me play it much for fear I would break it. So i would have mom turn it on for me when he wasn;t around and play my little heart out. Too bad I wasn't really sure what I was doing.

I believe my first game was a Master of Mischeif type game on a Mac. I was 4 or 5 then, but my best gaming memories come from when I was 6 or 7. My step-dad had bought me Marathon + M2, and I was just old enough to shoot, heal, and read the terminals, but sadly too young to understand the greatness of the Marathon universe.

The first game that I remember was an old golf game that I'd play with my dad on our old DOS computer when I was around four years old.

The first (real, as in not a learning game) game I played by myself was Decent. However, I was still only five or six so it usually ended up scaring the hell out of me. Usually, I'd watch my friend Tim, who was quite a few years older than I, play it.

Those were the days... *stares dreamily into space*
