Just designed to test The Flood

Absolutely shocked they have an equal/near equal number of votes.

Well, not anymore.

IMO: HL2>>>H2

Half-Life 2 is the best First person Shooter single player IMO.

I'm not a psycho. I'm cool. Calm your nipples.

So, the only correct answer is Half Life 2, or else I'm a Halo 2 fanboy.

legit

No, no, I just want to see the landslide amount of votes H2 will most probably win by.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Half-Life 2.

  • 12.01.2012 5:36 PM PDT

I'm actually not sure.

  • 12.01.2012 5:36 PM PDT

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

Halo 2, though Half-Life 2 was also awesome. Halo 2 wins my vote because it was really what my friends and I grew up with (Before getting LIVE); Halo CE was fun and all, but man, Halo 2 was where it was at.

Honestly Half-Life is extremely overrated. Sub-par story and characters. Not to mention Gordon Freeman is the most boring protagonist in any game I've ever played. The only thing it has going for it is the gravity gun, and that's not always useful anyways.

  • 12.01.2012 5:37 PM PDT

half life 2 had a far better campaign/narrative and contributed *much* more to the industry.

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

Halo 2 wins this by a landslide

I may be an idiot but what am I?

Half life 2 is over rated as hell but it knocks the socks off Halo 2.

It's quite funny, both were 'technical marvels' at the time of their release (HL2 more-so as a PC first game), yet both lost that special something which made the originals so much better.

This is pretty much saying that you are a boring character.

YOU are supposed to be Gordon Freeman. He doesn't speak in order to immerse yourself that you are him.

That's what I hated about Halo 4 campaign. He talked so much that I felt I was controlling Master Chief. In the prior games, I felt like I WAS Master Chief.

A little talking is fine, but when the character you play as doesn't speak, and you can't see him, YOU are meant to be him.

While I loved Halo 4's campaign, the reason I dislike the original trilogy's Chief was that he was smack in the middle of "blank slate" and "actual character". It didn't feel like I was the Chief, and it didn't feel like the Chief was his own character either.

[IMO]

master chief has always been the annoying middle-of-the-road protagonist. if you're going to have a character talk, then give him something to say. give him a sympathetic personality and motivations and fears to convey. you can't really have it both ways.

That's really more of a cop-out to making a character not speak.

DURR YOU ARE FREEMAN.

No.

The character should have an interesting background and personality. How am I supposed to create that from mindlessly destroying Combine and other aliens from existence?

<(-_-)> Teh mokey is not amused

I was never a fan of half-life, it felt too clunky.

i don't particularly care for silent protagonists either, but i still prefer them to the jarring master chief style of doing things.

Confused why you hate opinions so much, but I easily agree with Half-Life 2 on this poll.
