Yo Flood. I'm getting surgery for a 63 degree (or something like that) curve of my spine this summer. Problem is I don't know anyone who has partaken in surgery for scoliosis let alone has had scoliosis itself. So have any of you/or someone you know had scoliosis or surgery on it? If so what's it like? Anyway, discuss scoliosis ITT.

It sounds like a Harry Potter spell.

I have 6 degrees or so, so I don't need anything done at the moment.
Good luck, though.

Holy -blam!-, 63 degrees? Mine's 23 degrees. I didn't need surgery, but I have had some leg and back pains all my life. Can't imagine how much that must suck.

I have it but mine is front to back so they don't think I need surgery yet but I know someone who has gotten it and she said its a pretty serious sergery, they put a titanium brace along your spine and then the bond heals around it and you are bed ridden for the first year and another two years of taking it easy before it heals completely.. But I think it's worth it I'd get it done of I could but you also can't twist your lower body so you might not be able to play any contact sports.

I've seen my spine. It kinda looks like this.

I'm in love with Jesus and proud of it!

Don't know the degrees, but I have been told that after a physical in school (this was years ago) that my spine was off to the left by about an eighth of an inch.
