Nobody cares about anyone else's opinion - be it mine, yours, or a cult of angry star wars nerds - when they are enjoying what they enjoy.

Everyone cares about opinions, that's why we socialize on a forum with strangers.

Everyone is different, but my high school's food was probably worse than what the feed you in jail. I'm not kidding. Yeah, I ate it, and it was alright (as in edible), but it was really low quality food. Sometimes the nuggets weren't cooked fully and I'm sure it wasn't real meat. Or at least I hope not.
Same. The food we got in high school was almost inedible. (Not only that, but we weren't even allowed to bring lunch from home.) We almost always had either hamburgers or hot dogs, although sometimes we had chicken nuggets or fish sticks, but it was all junk food and it was disgusting. Side dishes were always french fries and/or rolls. No vegetables.
We used to joke about the hot dogs because they were always a weird greenish-grey color. I remember we took one out of the cafeteria in middle school and hid it under a tree on the quad. It was still there a week later and apart from a few ants that had gathered around it, there was no change. No mold, no decay. Nothing.
We did have a salad bar, though, which was a god-send. It wasn't anything special, but it was real food. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, jalapeños, that kind of thing.
The food at college is much better, although I only get 7 cafeteria meals a week included as part of my meal plan, which sucks because it means I only get one good meal a day.
