I will say it as I have said it a million times. What I don't do is tell people they are entirely wrong. I explain why I disagree with them. Most comments I get are telling me I am wrong, insulting me, etc.

You've done this to multiple people about plot-holes that you seemingly choose to ignore/get mad about and then blame 343i for introducing/finishing off from Halo 3. If you weren't so wound-up in your self-righteousness, you'd see that 343i is trying to slowly wrap up Halo with as much ends tied as possible.

Your opinion is, quite truthfully, a blunt and obvious one held with a matter-of-fact tone to it. Try not coming off/down so hard, maybe.

There is a right way and a wrong way to speak.

No there isn't.

No linguist would ever say that there is a wrong way to speak. Language is about communication. If a language can communicate, it is "right".

Some people might place negative or positive stereotypes on a person based on how they speak. But that is all on the person doing the stereotyping.

I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.

There is not a right and wrong opinion on a game.

There are no wrong experiences or opinions but there are wrong truths, proofs, evidences, and other quantifiable data that can be dismissed on the grounds of 'chance', lack of substantial evidence to replicate said events, lack of understanding/education, and (of course) being contrary to facts.

In other words, saying something isn't so when it so obviously is as defined by both statistical data (both the observable consistency of testimonies and backend data tracking) and player intelligence.

Layman's terms, people who know their -blam!- know more than those who don't. Just because everybody is entitled to an opinion doesn't mean everybody is entitled to their own facts and theories.

Poorly educated opinions are what should be in question, i.e. that of somebody defending Sword Base as a 'good map' when it is anything but. Their experiences are contrary to the quantifiable data such as heatmaps, game history, controlled films from meta-game performances, and collective testimonies that point to it being a bad map.
Well of course there is that. But it is generally agreed upon that most of games since around 08' have had poor quality map. I never really hear that argued. I more mean opinions on gameplay being fun, a story being interesting/good, things like that. Things people for some reason treat as fact.

A single opinion is never fact unless it is a repeatable observation or based upon a fact.

However, collective opinions can be considered observable trends/testimonies, which have more weight, especially when there is a factual majority backing the particular opinion.

Above all though, the educated opinion of few competes with the uneducated opinion of many. It is there (and only there) that the person responsible for the content (343 in this case) cross-reference the opinions with factual data (heatmaps, game results, video results, meta-game achievements, etc.) and decides where to go from there.

If either parties say X map is bad, but the stats reflect the opposite, the developers are less likely to make changes. At least, they wont be doing anything to it soon because of the conflict.

All this fancy verbiage simply means is that you are entitled to your opinion, but your feedback should be well-informed/researched and educated because that's what shapes the game. If you like Spartan Ops for example, that's all good and nice, but don't go on waypoint and say it's "perfect" because that not only contrasts with a significant portion of others, but also doesn't help the developers.

Neither does bashing/hatred by the way. But of course, people will ignore this and make up their own statistics to rile up a bunch of fanboys, rustle everyone's jimmies, and just waste everyone's time.

I am admittedly guilty of this at some point - most of us are passionate gamers after all - but now I really don't even bother anymore.

Arguing for your side isn't saying "Everyone must agree with me!" necessarily. Also, saying that "many of you" seem to embody this when you have made threads in the past that have you acting condescendingly toward those who disagree with you is nothing but straight hypocrisy.

Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house, Eagle.

Wrong opinion? No. Irrational opinion? Yes.
This. An irrational opinion will crumble before the might of an opinion well supported by reasoning and logic.

Dammit I could have said that in one line as opposed to 10 paragraphs. That's what I get for trying to sugercoat.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

I get what you are saying but that isn't my gripe with the flood. Whenever you try to make a good argument with them they sometimes just insult you, say OPINION like we don't know what we are saying is that it is an opinion, or just saying something totally ridiculous. Like ADAPT DURR or CHANGE NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE UP THERE like somehow "change" is always a good thing.

I sometimes like to argue for fun. Hence why I barely insult anyone. I only do when someone rustles my jimmies a bit. I love it how I am called a Marty fanboy just because I don't like Neil's music. That is always classic.

While the Internet is a prime place to get immature responses to well developed arguments, the general trend I've seen on B.net is that if you are less abrasive in your presentation of your viewpoints--however controversial--you will always get less abrasive and immature responses even if you get the same number of disagreements.

I agree that prefacing statements with "In my opinion" is rather redundant, but this can be conveyed much more subtly and equally effectively in the tone of your post.
