It's a'me, Sesto

What do you think of the company? Do you buys things from there, or prefer to support smaller businesses? Would you work there?

I've worked there for 2 or 3 months now. Started out Deli, ended up becoming a Cashier. You need to be a certain age to work deli, and they were too stupid and somehow put me into deli, even though I wasn't old enough. So I was forced to move.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away, and I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Also, will this be on your Walmart Rewards MasterCard today?

Is being a Walmart employee really as bad as people make it out to be?

GrownPrism is NOT my gt. Happened when signing into my xbox live account. My real gt is here:

I usually just buy stuff from my local 711.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

Applied there once, never heard back from them.

They offer products at low prices, Whenever I am going to buy something in bulk I shop there.

Minimum wage = Crap money

Not my first B.Net account obviously

Surprisingly there is no Walmart close to where I live. By close I mean 15 mile proximity.

Are you expecting any more for being a cashier? Seriously?

No, but it seems exhausting and the money is crap.

Rabid

I don't buy anything from their very often. Only when I am desperate and Target or K-Mart don't have what I need.

I don't shop there. Heard all of the terrible things that happen when you go to purchase electronics. I think it's over exaggerated of all the bad things that happen at Walmart.

  • 12.01.2012 8:11 PM PDT

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

They need to stop selling live fish.

I have a friend in Ohio that is making like 9.50 an hour at Walmart, and this is only her 4th week or so.

But she is working from like 7pm to 6am every day of the week.

I would dig a job at Walmart. I'd dig a job just about anywhere.

They have everything I need. Do you always ID kids when they try to buy M rated games? When I was 16, I wasn't id'd 50% of the time for games.

Well, I can't say for certain. I'm a part time employee, and honestly don't care how many hours I get. I have heard some of the full time employees complaining about having low hours though.

The duty managers seem nice enough, but I don't see the actual mangers alot.

They didn't really give me alot of training, at least for Cashier. I worked with somebody for my first day, and after that I was put on my own. You can get help from the CSMs whenever you need it, but if you screw up you get "slips", which apparently are bad. They don't really explain alot of stuff, and I'm still getting in trouble for not doing things I was never told I had to do.

Lastly, Cashiers really get pressured into selling these dumb Walmart MasterCards, which is really annoying. You're forced to ask them to every customer, and alot of customers get pissed off if you ask them. Pretty sure you can even get fired if you don't sell any after a certain time period.

Overall, it's decent I guess. It's my first job, so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

Well, you're supposed to. I don't think I even had someone try to buy a game who looked too young, so I have never had to ask anyone.

If the person looks old enough (aka not some 12 year old kid), I'd probably let them buy it, as long as no CSM was near.

My friend says being a Cashier is one of the worst jobs in the store. Apparently you guys put up with a lot of -blam!-.

I really wished my Wal Mart was hiring, I would love a job there, simply to have the money coming in, and to get out of hte house. God knows I need both of those.

I don't like them any more than public school lunches. Personally, food from Publix and clothing from shops where quality does matter.
