Can someone explain the hate for Isolation? There was nothing that exciting about the map. I cant remember any cool halo 3 videos happening on Isolation. It wasnt terrible, just dull. The flood spores growing was cool - just gameplay wise pretty stagnant.
As a multiplayer map it was actually pretty exceptional. The map proved for extremely dynamic gameplay, forcing players in competition to actively engage with the enemy, strategize, and constantly fight for map control. It was actually one of the most challenging symmetrical maps because the placement of the weapons and the geography of the map forced players to abandon "safe spots," or vantage points in order to keep enemies from obtaining "power weapons."
I learned to appreciate the map a couple years down the road, realizing how well team play worked in this map.
