This is an ending that everyone would like.
First off, lets get the rest of the game out of the way....................
Alright, this, that and the other has happened, and the humans want cortana back. The humans and allied forces are going back to high charity for a) cortana b) the Holy City. We all know that gravemind is there, with a bazillion flood. We all know that there are a bazillion allied forces. Even match huh? So, it starts out like this: We see the MC and Arbiter with Lord Hood and Half-Jaw on a Covenant Capital ship. We see them looking out at High charity. We also see this: There are hundreds of cruisers, frigates, capital ships and every other kind ever made in the game series. They are all pointed at High Charity. There are weapons that are obviously there for the city's defense firing at the attacking forces. Ships are being blown apart, and the turrets are being destroyed. (They are not punching holes in the actual city; the layering is thick, common sense) The four begin talking, then they begin to leave the window. The camera backs up, and we see the bay of this ship, there are a bunch of Pelicans, Dropship (originals), and Phantoms. Then, there are Hunters, Grunts, Elites, and humans running all over. There are marines grabbing guns out of crates. Grunts, filling up their methane packs. Elites, checking camo, swords, and getting guns. Hunters standing there, waiting to destroy something. At this time, we are given the chance on whom we want to be: MC, Arbiter, and Half-Jaw. After this choice, our character is seen walking over to some weapons. We select 2 weapons, we see Sgt. Johnson walk up to the four, followed by 4 Hell Jumpers and then 2 Councilors and 2 Zealots walk up too, then we choose the weapons we want our buddies to have. Then Half-Jaw, MC, and the Arbiter, with the 8 new guys, board a Phantom. Lord Hood turns and watches. We are inside the phantom's cockpit and watch as our dropships accelerate towards the city. We get closer and see Seraphs, Longswords, and boarding pods flying around the city. The forces already there have taken the main ship bay already. Dropships of all sorts are leaving with wounded, and others are coming in. We go inside, and we randomly land. (This is so that we can have a different battle each time.) Also, something will happen that will force us to different places in the level at random. We disembark and see hundreds of troops running around, they are reinforcing areas, bringing wounded back, and dragging weapons storage to places. There are the sounds of explosions everywhere. Then, you go first-person. At this point, three points come up on the screen. One at a dropship, one at a group of vehicles, and one at a doorway, heavily guarded. You get three options to do what you want. Foot, air-strike- and vehicular missions. However, before you embark on any one of these, the game may give a warning comm. message to the player that the port is under attack by the flood. You must then move into the base and defend it. Your squad will follow you. There will also be hundreds of other troops inside. The place is under attack, and I am sure bungie can think up what could happen, after all, they did make the silent cartographer. You then would choose which the three missions you wanted to do.
Air-Strike:
You load up with your squad in one of the three types of dropships. There are like 10 strike points, and each one needs to either be assisted or taken. You get in the dropship, then a view from outside the ship shows it lifting off, with a few other ships. You fly the ship to one of the next 10 checkpoints.
#1-Mosoleum of the Arbiter, you must retake it, and the big building system that is the last MC level in halo 2
#2-Weapons Cache-take and hold
#3-Vehicle storage-take and hold
#4-Creature holding-This is where Drinols, and maybe other powerful creatures are held. You want the place back before they break out and go on a rampage, or the flood figure out how to control their bodies. But, what is to say there have not been packs of drinols already released into the city?
#5-Emergency civilian center-You must defend it from multiple waves of flood
#6-Ship bay-You must retake another ship bay where the flood are launching fighters into space, killing dropships and smaller vehicles.
#7-Brute position-There is a brute hold-out, they are low on supplies, and need to either be convinced to join the Allies, or be attacked and perish
#8-Elite position-You must help defend a group of Elites, Hunters, Grunts, and Humans that were attacked while holding a weapons cache
#9-Rescue-You need to get to a large building and extract pinned down soldiers that were helping civilians
#10-Return to main base-You must return to the base, no matter what happens………….
Vehicles:
Objective: Recover a weapons/vehicle cache before the flood get into it. Then, you must bring the stuff back.
You get to get in:
Hog
Gauss hog
Ghost
Spectre
Wraith
Scorpion
Banshee
Once a predetermined amount of vehicles are loaded with AI, a huge gate opens. Flood begin to pour in. The Elites and Hunters near the gate begin to fire, while the vehicles fight their way out. You must make your way through the huge city streets, while the AI do the best they can to keep the bigger vehicles alive. A lot could happen in a flood-infested hell-hole…….. When you get there, you must hold out until dropships arrive to load weapons, and vehicles. However, because of the amount, you must escort some Shadows and passenger hogs or weapons to the base. You receive reinforcements, and you must keep at least 8 vehicles alive. (Remember, the AI is supposed to be real good)
Foot:
You need to retake a bay. (In the air-strike mission, you only cut off the flood reinforcements) This time, you lead a huge group of soldiers to the bay, through the sewers to the bay, then you must kill all the flood inside. Once you open the gate to the city, dropships can reinforce your troops. Once you retake it, Sentinel beams or something is brought in, and you can watch as they burn the flood away. You then pilot a ship to bring back your squad to the original bay. Remember, the flood want to kill us, what may happen on the way back? You get back, then are flown to Lord Hood. He has been strategizing with the Elite commanders, they have decided it is time to invade. A few ships from the fleet will fly in the city (same way the Forerunner ship got out), then begin dropping troops into the city via grav lift. You get to land with troops from your ship after seeing the big cut scene of the ships flying in the city. Vehicles of all kinds, including scarabs, all sort sof troops, and a ton of defensive weapons and stationary turrets and shields. There is already a predetermined set of paths that you can take to fight the flood off, whichever you choose not to take, the AI will go. Eventually after some Bungie goodness like the Silent Cartographer, you retake the city. Then, you move on to the ring. Only, the whole fleet drops troops on the ring. Some more bungie goodness, you have a whole ring under control, you have High Charity, and you have cortana. Everyone is happy. Then the game ends I guess.
Some more details:
During the battles, you can save whenever you want. No checkpoints. The brutes are not seen again should they decide to come over. To keep from overloading the system, each time you lift off in a dropship, the game shows the ship lifting off and loads the next checkpoints. Should you fly back, the game will show The four races on turrets, cleaning up bodies, and keeping prepared for an attack. The game may randomly show them under attack if you come back. But, if you don't come back to a place, you keep it under control.
Bungie made Halo: CE. Lets make Halo 3 be better huh bungie?
