I'd say Halo 4 in terms of detail. Overall I think bc2 has the best.

Agreed.
Detail on models for players and guns are good, but everything else had to be tonned down.

There is some amazing Crysis mods out there.
Yes.
Vanilla graphics?
I'd still say Crysis 1.
Other then Crysis?
Modded Skyrim.

I'm not even referring to that.

How is Halo 4, a game running on a 7 year old console, ever going to be better than a PC game. Hell, even a game running on medium settings would look better than Halo 4.

Seriously, The Flood astounds me sometimes.

While the CGI in Halo 4 is the best I've seen, the actual game isn't the same. I'd say somewhere between Crysis, Battlefield 3 with HD graphics, or Counter-Strike Global Offensive on Very High settings.

Any PC game will blow any console game out of the water in terms of graphics anyway.

Journey

It's not the number of pixels that matter, it's how you use them.

I would say that Halo 4 is in the lead when it comes to graphics on this generation of games, but i feel biased saying that so i will say that Far Cry 3's graphics are fantastic. A sign of good graphics is the water, Halo 3's Valhalla waterfall and stream was gorgeous and Far Cry 3's water is amazing too.

So the original Doom on PC looks better than Halo 4?

Brilliant logic. Use common sense bro.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Probably that Skyrim game; I've seen it and it looks very detailed.

Crysis 2 for lighting, Rage overall.

This thread makes me want to buy Crysis.

I was just asking a question, according to the logic of the poster I was responding to that would be true.

Yes, actually.

Brutal Doom using the high res texture pack mod makes a 15 year old game better looking than the brown and bloom console Halo 4.

Can't be done. besides judging a game on graphics alone is stupid. Graphics become obsolete faster then anything else in gaming.

I used to be indecisive, but now i'm not sure.

I guess Uncharted 3 if we're talking consoles.
Example

The character models are extremely detailed, the environments are exotic and always nice on the eyes, and the lighting is pretty close to what we have in the real world.

IMO Doom looks better then Halo 4 due to aesthetics. Then again, I'm crazy because I like color in my games. Except ODST. Try playing ODST on Black/white only. Feels like Sci fi and 50's noir combined and pulls it off real well.

Nobody cares about anyone else's opinion - be it mine, yours, or a cult of angry star wars nerds - when they are enjoying what they enjoy.

Everyone cares about opinions, that's why we socialize on a forum with strangers.

Art style is just as important as technical quality.

Games like RE4 and Doom 3 still look good today because of their art style.
