How? It offered everything ODST did, but with more options, and more customization, and much more accessible.

The only reason one would like ODST more is the maps. But I thought Reach's firefight maps were fine and the customization it offered more than made up for any subpar maps.


Literally the only excuse I hear is "OMG In reach it's just a fuel-rod kill fest".

Uhh...that's just one playlist...arcadefight. You can easily recreate an ODST experience in custom games, plus there were some other decent modes such as Firefight Limited.

Because for some reason, they made extremely easy gametypes, then blamed Bungie for ODST's Firefight being harder. Derp.

I will say ODST firefight had significantly better maps. I also had more fun playing it because there was no multiplayer to accompany the campaign. Therefore, if my friends wanted to play we did Firefight.

Yeah in a couple Matchmaking playlists. Play Firefight Limited. Or make an ODST gametype in Customs.

I think it's all about the cR greed people had. A greed that was not present in ODST.

I believe Bungie should have made some neat Firefight achievements that resembled the Vidmasters, while keeping a steady Firefight playlist that resembled ODST from launch.

Maps are the only legitimate reason on how someone could like ODST more. However, I disagree with it still.

More friends isn't really a reason. You just need to find people that liked Firefight, it's not that hard. Plus the fact that Reach has a matchmaking option at all means it's much easier to play Firefight than in ODST.

Instead we got FRG Fight and Rocket Fight all over matchmaking.

you were stuck with certain wepons, limited ammo, and only more ammo on two guns, you had to conserve, instead of just shotgunning everyone and getting more ammo, and yes you could up the level, and that would make it a bit funner, but at max level and super hard enemies it was almost impossible.
odst, you had to think more.
