Subject: Does anyone like Spartan Ops?

Good things
-Cinematic
-Expanding the story

Bad things
-Pretty much everything else

Firefight= Same objectives on the same 8-10 maps.
Spartan ops= Varied objectives on the same maps with a story.

I think the choice is clear. I remember people hating firefight and wanting it gone before 4 info blowout came, now they're praising it. LOL

Spartan ops is superior in every stretch of the imagination. The only foreseeable improvement is:

a few more environments (in retrospect it would not be too hard for them to develop like a spartan ops forge, and create new environments with preset campaign environments)

And a system of lives to add to difficulty.

And maybe skulls.

Otherwise I'd say they did the best they could do with current resources. Im hoping they could take an excellent concept like Spops and make it newer and better in season 2 or halo 5.

Lol by varied objectives do you mean pressing buttons and killing everything in sight?

Defending zones
pushing buttons
destroying targets
killing specific targets.

And next week has some kind of generator defense style thing in one of the missions apparently.

So yes. Thats 4 times what firefight had. And firefight was literally KIll everything in sight

Your point?

I would have preferred an updated Firefight.
This.

I don't dislike Spartan Ops but I much prefer a Firefight-like mode.

And I'd like to say, if 343 wanted to implemented liked features from the competition it would of been nice to see an updated survival world style firefight similar to a certain fish named FPS's dead-people-walking mode.

*wink wink*
*nudge nudge*

I write poetry, I write short-stories, I listen to hip-hop (80s&90s), Reggae, Classic Rock n Roll, Heavy Metal, Jazz, Blues, and the 60s, 70s.

It's alright, the just reuse campaign and multiplayer levels, crappy story, but, helluva lot XP.

Halo Reach had a defend the generator type mode. It also was necessary to defend areas in order to survive. Pressing buttons doesn't make spartan ops better than Firefight either....

There's no way to get back experiences you missed.
So start right now today and risk furiousness for bliss.

I only play it when I want to rank up faster.

So you campaign style push forward, with new levels and unpredictable circumstances. A story, and YES, varied objectives beyond pushing forward. Killing specific targets, defending areas, generator defence, all dynamically changing, campaign style, in game. Sounds better than firefight on paper in every way. Firefight was dog--blam!- either way. But spartan ops is less so.

Some things in this World you just can't explain; but that doesn't mean they are any less true, just that you have to chose to believe in them.
