Which do you prefer? I'm thinking about buying some music, and cant decide whether to just get the albums from itunes or as CDs. CDs are usually more expensive, but there is something sentimental about having the actual CD as opposed to a digital copy.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

I've bought CDs since I was a kid, I see no point stopping now.

CDs, I just prefer 'em.

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

I am not sentimental, so digital.

Digital. CDs are too hippy now.

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

I dislike MP3's compression. I really can hear the difference and I prefer no compression rather than compressed, if possible.

Digital (as long as it's DRM-free)

I mean, it's more convenient and less expensive, what's not to love?

CD if possible.

This. Limited internet also sways my decision.

Stupid ass washing machine...

I buy CDS for several reasons:

1.) I just like having a physical product to hold, digital purchases don't carry the same sort of satisfaction to me. No idea why.

2.) Who the hell buys MP3 files as gifts? CDs, on the other hand, make great and thoughtful presents.

3.) A CD I can play on my stereo, in the car, or import to my computer and have on my iPod. It's just more versatile.

Still, my vinyl collection comes out trumps.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

I pick CD because I like having stuff physically than digitally.

$.50 in store credit.

CD. If you download a song on iTunes, you don't technically own it. According to the terms of use you agree to, you basically borrow the songs instead of fully owning them.

Like you said, CDs also have a value to them just for owning a hard copy instead of a digital file you could have just pirated.

CD, all the way.

NOTE: This is my new primary account. My old account was AgentCOPP1, and I changed it because it was linked to a gamertag that I no longer use.

Both are good for different things. If you want high-fidelity audio, get a CD because you can rip it at 320 Kbps bit rate. If you're just on the go and you hear a song on the radio that you want to download on your phone, just go over the internet.

And by the way, a CD is digital, and it is ripped to MP3 sooo.... the poll is wrong.

I bet you anything that you can't tell the difference in a blind audio test what's 320Kbps MP3 and what's FLAC. Plus FLAC takes up a crap ton of memory.

Flac serves as the best archival format in case something happens to your CDs.
