Wow, $45! How many hours did you spend researching all this? And as a follow up, do you honestly think it was worth it? You're not a hero or a rolemodel for doing this, you're just an assclown.

I spend about 2 hours in the whole process. which includes going to the police station to get the ticket and the dispatch records, and then the courthouse to have it signed. And then about 10 minutes of trainwrecking the police officer at the hearing today.

It was 100% worth it in my opinion.

Good, OP. The police force really does abuse their power most of the time. It's good to see someone finally put them in their place.

Because parking wrong outside a 711 is abusing power.

Anytime a police officer breaks the law and expects to get away with it, he is abusing his power.

And many people break the law and expect to get away with it. Something like this is so trivial it shouldn't even be a problem. But by all means, waste the departments time for trivial issues and look like an idiot in front of your local community.

If I saw some average Joe parked wrong, I wouldn't care. But the fact that he's a police officer changes things.

Easily the stupidest thing I have read on the Flood in awhile.

Dang, $45. You sure showed him.

WHAT?! A Police Officer IS your average Joe, they don't carry around these thick books of laws to follow in the trunk of their police car. Nothing makes them any more better than you or me, they're like the Forum Ninjas here, they're average citizens, nothing more.

Here's an example, so someone like you can easily follow along:

-A man is smoking a joint. I don't care.
-A DEA agent is smoking a joint. I call the cops, because it's hypocritical and ironic.

You see my point?

Both are still breaking the law.

See his point?

I'm willing to bet it took you longer than that. And even if it didn't, it still shows you have way too much time on your hands.

I don't think it did really, our courthouse is about 2 blocks away from the police station, so it doesn't take long at all to briskly walk over there.

So by your logic you would watch me murder your family, shrug and say meh but if a cop did it you would call the cops on him?

I am thinking of an old story. "Three Billy Goats Gruff" (hint the troll dies at the end)

Thanks for the update

No. One puts marijuana users away, then smokes it himself. Hypocritical.

The other doesn't care what others do, then smokes it himself. Not hypocritical.

Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we are the imagination of our selves.

what a triumph against the oppressive police state.

That's what I was thinking. Good job OP you made yourself a target. Hope that was worth some minor victory and making a cop pay a $45 fine.

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

Might want to be careful now, that cop might have a grudge and just might want to get payback. He might write you a ticket for a BS reason.

Murder is evil. Parking wrong in a 7-11 is trivial.

Pretty douchey thing of you.

It's douchey to hold the police force responsible for breaking laws that they're supposed to enforce?
You're retarded.

You're punishing someone due to hypocrisy.

Exactly.

  • 12.02.2012 7:03 PM PDT

It's still illegal no matter who does it. So you should call the cops on him too.
