Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Why should they not?
I can promise you that when I'm a father, I'll be playing some Halo and other old video games with my children, because fun and memories.

What if I told you...

*scoots in closer*

I hate you

I know a couple with two young children.
Once they put their kids to sleep they play League of Legends. Im just gonna say that they're pretty awesome people.

I do not want to stop asking. I do not ask to stop wanting.

A) I don't plan on stopping any time soon

B) My girlfriend's dad plays Max Payne

if I had children i'd refrain from playing video games and heavily monitor my children's exposure to video games.

  • 12.02.2012 7:23 PM PDT

Why not? Should I work all day then after the kids go to bed go out and party at the bar like a responsible dad should?

  • 12.02.2012 7:23 PM PDT

Thats a fine point sir but I insist go -blam!- yourself with a cactus.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

My dad turned 49 a few days ago. I am 21.

He and my step mom gross about $300,000 per year and they're raising two girls, five and six years old. My dad brews beer, and does go-karting on weekends. He owns a nice four bedroom, four bathroom home, and is a Plant Manager for Crane Energy. He most definitely has a life.

I recently convinced him to buy an Xbox 360 after showing him Forza 4 and F1 2011. He's been a racing fan his whole life, so now we race together a few nights per week, where if he didn't have an xbox, I'd probably only see or talk to him a few times a month.

For his birthday, I bought him Portal 2. Last week I spent every night after work for a few hours at his home, and we went through the single player mode, trading off the controller for each test.

So ultimately what happened when my father got an xbox? It strengthened our relationship. We now have something that we both legitimately enjoy doing to talk about, where as before we were kinda interested in the same things and kinda were on the same page sometimes.

Parents playing xbox? Yeah, it's good if you ask me.

Yes, I know my username is the 330th sequel to a terrible movie. You don't have to keep telling me.

I think parents should play video games. But my mother would indeed become very flustered and insist I talk with more sincere behavior.

Hey I saw you on the Waypoint forums. You laughed at people claiming Halo 2 to be a good game. And then I supported you.

No thought required, just spawn and GOOOOOOOOOOO

The average person has over 40 hours of free time each week.

Whats the difference between spending that free time watching TV, which most adults do, and playing videogames?

Hell, I'm 20 years old, and I can Balance videogames with a job and social life. I'll even be going to college soon.

I appreciate the support. But I don't actively go there so I wasn't there to debate it.
