I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.
My dad turned 49 a few days ago. I am 21.
He and my step mom gross about $300,000 per year and they're raising two girls, five and six years old. My dad brews beer, and does go-karting on weekends. He owns a nice four bedroom, four bathroom home, and is a Plant Manager for Crane Energy. He most definitely has a life.
I recently convinced him to buy an Xbox 360 after showing him Forza 4 and F1 2011. He's been a racing fan his whole life, so now we race together a few nights per week, where if he didn't have an xbox, I'd probably only see or talk to him a few times a month.
For his birthday, I bought him Portal 2. Last week I spent every night after work for a few hours at his home, and we went through the single player mode, trading off the controller for each test.
So ultimately what happened when my father got an xbox? It strengthened our relationship. We now have something that we both legitimately enjoy doing to talk about, where as before we were kinda interested in the same things and kinda were on the same page sometimes.
Parents playing xbox? Yeah, it's good if you ask me.
