when the next wave of consoles come, i think im gonna switch to PC. How much will a good PC cost me? i want it to have superb performance for at least 6-8 more years. is there anything else i should know before buying?

700-800$ for a solid build. 1000-1200$ for a beast.

Mine was around 1200$ and runs all my games on max settings.

You will need to upgrade bi-yearly if you want to keep superb performance for 6-8 years. Also, don't buy a pre-built. Head on over to the PC thread, you will get way better advice but some of the more active users in the thread will likely be on tomorrow at around 3 ish.

A good build won't last 6-8 years.

It's just the nature of computer hardware.



You can build a great rig that will last 2 maybe 3 years for $1000.


Just don't go and blow $3000 on a computer. Unless of course you are a spoiled rich kid that has their parents credit card. If that's the case, go crazy...
